That isolationism doctrine has really worked out...........

No. Even libtards deserve to vote. That's what living in a constitutional republic means.

It's the potential for fraud and absentee ballot abuse that's the issue with all this mail-in voting.

An honest, fair election depends on the following:
  • Cleaned up, accurate voter registration rolls.
  • Voter ID - shown at the polling place. If you can cash checks at a bank or drive a car, you can get an ID.
  • In person voting. Absentee ballots only for legitimate cause - out of the country or medical reason.

I agree 100% and don't understand why it's so difficult to put this in place. We need ID's for almost everything in our life, so why is voting (one of the most important functions a citizen can perform) allowed to happen with minimal or no ID. Why are the Dems so liberal on this ID process? Sounds great to say "we're just trying to let everyone vote" but the truth lies elsewhere. If you can't get an ID, then there is another issue and you shouldn't be allowed to vote...period.

It's historical; it's a process that's been used to deny voting by making the ID process impossible at local levels. It was an endemic practice across the deep south for many decades following the collapse of reconstruction. It's also seen historically linked to being on the slippery slope to a where you end up having a country where you have to carry your ID papers with you and can be stopped and have those demanded of you at any time. Some of my friends that immigrated from Argentina explained what it was like for them. We have so many things better than the rest of the world that we just take for granted w/o understanding anything close to how precious they are, and then we permit them to slowly and inexorably be taken away from us.

I always thought the post office ran a tight ship. Running with a surplus the congress stole it for their pension. This happened to the Pa. turnpike. They had boatloads of extra cash. Congress stole it for other projects.(their pension)

The PO has been a shining light this year delivering gobs of mail, and tons of stuff bought all over from wherever on-line.

If anything, the PO should be rewarded for soldiering on w/o fail.

Okay, their business model and operations need a serious upgrade, but doing that is sort of like fixing health car - "it's hard".

The Democrats are so liberal on this process because it offers a way to game something they would have difficulty winning otherwise.

As for demanding "papers", we are in no way, shape, or form on a slippery slope. That is pure fiction. This nation has a Constitution and a Bill of Rights that correctly limit the power of the Federal Government. Asking for ID at the polling place is no different than being asked for ID at the bank, at a grocery store, or before you buy a drink. And only those with nefarious intentions balk at it. ID is part of the rigorous process that guarantee our rights, not take them.

PATERSON, N.J. – A judge has ruled that a new election will be held in November for a disputed Paterson City Council seat, just weeks after the race's apparent winner and a sitting councilman were charged with voter fraud.

State Superior Court Judge Ernest Caposela issued his ruling Wednesday.

Alex Mendez had won a special election on May 12 to fill the seat, but claims of voter fraud were soon raised. An investigation was then launched after the U.S. Postal Service's law enforcement arm told the state attorney general's office about hundreds of mail-in ballots located in a mailbox in Paterson, along with more found in nearby Haledon.

Ultimately, the Passaic County Board of Elections decided not to count 800 ballots cast in the race.

Voter fraud charges were brought in June against Mendez, Paterson Council Vice President Michael Jackson and two other men: Shelim Khalique, of Wayne, and Abu Rayzen, of Prospect Park. An attorney for Councilman William McKoy, who had been defeated by Mendez, then successfully sought an injunction that barred Mendez from being sworn into office.

Which has steadily been eroded for about the past 20 years.

That is a nice paraphrasing of Josef Goebbels. If you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about....or something very close to that wording.

You only have nothing to worry about if you really believe your Gov't is there for you and is 100% trustworthy and honest. We currently have a Gov't that routinely spies on its own citizens, has courts that can issue warrants with basically no evidence, can arrest you w/o any recourse or legal representation on your part.

You have to remember at all times that the goal of government, you see, is to unload the unhappiness unto the backs of those least able to make those in charge suffer for it.

Of course, if you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about....

I think you've totally misread my thoughts and posting. I certainly don't trust the government, especially when the Democrats hold the Presidency.

And as I said previously, the purpose of the US Constitution is to limit the power of the Federal government.

Josef Goebbel

His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner ...

He would make one great democrat if he were alive today.....

people should "keep voting Democrat" if they want to have their freedoms restricted.
