Hobo Jungle
Re: Hobo Jungle
I recall reading a paper that, I think, was sponsored by the Smithsonian concerning drinking urine when no other drinkable water is available.
The claim was that urine had already been recycled by your body and there should not be any problem if the person that produced it drank it.????

I recall a news story, from several years ago, about a Japanese woman who had been trapped amidst the rubble from an earthquake's collapse of her building, for many days, who drank her own urine to assist her in her survival.

I would not be surprised if you guys use fresh toilet paper instead of recycling it.
How does one separate toilet paper with crap on it for recycling. Once it gets to the sewage treatment facility, how do they separate it for recycling ??
He's got to be kidding you.

Re: Hobo Jungle
A lot of toilet paper does say on the package that it was made from recyclable materials but NOT from recycled toilet paper.

Re: Hobo Jungle
You could use the other side of TP.
Recycle it no. It needs to break down quickly in water.

You don't recycle toilet paper by flushing it down the toilet Roger... you put in the recycle bin. Sheesh, old people!

Now that will be the day when you get women in this country, after they wipe their butt with TOILET paper to put it in a recycle container in the bathroom and not flush it down the toilet.

Re: Hobo Jungle
I find it a little odd that so many folks have no problem drinking water that has had feces, urine, vomit, deadly chemicals and God knows what else in it, but won't even think about using recycled toilet paper.

Re: Hobo Jungle
People that live with a storage tank not a septic tank will separate tp. Tp. Gets placed in a trash can and body waste gets flushed. Grey water gets released onto your lawn.
Last week my daughter flushed a roll of tp. I had to remove our toilet to pull out that roll.that's when I noticed rolls no longer have cardboard tubes. I spent a lot of time looking for that tube in the system. Only to catch a quick glance of the tp. Package saying " we removed the cardboard "
