In 2004, golf superstar Tiger Woods got to use it as a driving range. You can’t help but wonder how many unsuspecting people were hit by golf balls that day.

Building is on a man made island and the "pad" faces the water. There is a Youtube video of Agassi and Federer hitting tennis balls off the court to see if they could reach the waterhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpV6WULqLTw. It wasn't that easy as the building is kind of shaped like a "fat" version of London's Shard). I suspect the tennis balls mostly bounced of the curved face of the building.

Cool video Chuck, thank you. I noticed Federer did not want to look out of the glass elevator on the way up.

Impressive structure - actually interesting to look at....

Yes, that culture seems to be having a lot of fun experimenting and trying new things with architecture. They certainly have been making their own unique statement.

The creativity aspect is certainly strong there in that form of architecture.

Nice train station. Gothic cathedral shots awesome. If you are ever up in NY city, check out the St. John's. If you time the visit right they do "vertical" tours. Really impressive views of the cathedral from "the other side".

I've been to St. John's, but that was long before cellphones and their cameras. Did you know the edifice was considered unfinished; at least, that's what was said back in the 70's.

Regarding those public spaces I posted here, what is your interpretation of the Statements made by them, Chuck?

Respect. Respect for public spaces by the people that use them. Respect for the people that use the spaces by the people that built and maintain them.

St. John's is still a work in progress. Finishing the building is much lower than taking care of the people served by the church. The building is enormous, about 600 feet from the face on Amsterdam Avenue to rear of the chapels at the east end facing Morning Heights park.

That's just about the most elegant and articulate statement I have ever read or heard about architecture. Beautiful, Chuck.

What kind of a STATEMENT does this make to anyone here. This was the half time entertainment at a high school football game in Mississippi. Reports said the performance was based loosely on the movie “John Q,” in which a father played by Denzel Washington takes patients at a hospital hostage in order to secure treatment for his son.

I saw in the News tonight that the school board apologized for that performance, especially considering that two police officers were shot in that community last week.

What sort of a Statement was it? I suspect it pandered to some particular group, at the expense of another.

Here's another "Statement" I'd like you to consider, if you please. What do you see present here?
