Re: Statements
Not seeing that nice green one near the beach in the first photo.....and running back to return that lob shot looks like a great way to eliminate one's opponent.
The owls may indeed not be what they seem but still serve an imperative function: they remind us to look into the darkness.

Re: Statements
"Eliminate one's opponent" is right! Why would anybody want to play tennis there, running at full speed toward the outer edges, often? What is the attraction?

Because they can.....and they are too lazy to go downstairs and be subjected to associating with the mere mortals.

But the danger seems apparent, from where I am sitting, at least. The fence around the circumference doesn't seem like much of a hindrance to flying over the edge into oblivion, while dashing about to racket the ball back at the opponent.

Life s not always viewed through rose-colored glasses
Murph's image shows Port-au-Prince, Haiti before the 2010 Earthquake.
Robert's image shows the same place after the earthquake. People were still living in the rubble of their homes. No sewers, no water.
Then came Hurricane Matthew in 2016 which produced more damage (Haiti still has not recovered from the Earthquake.)
Can you find Port-au-Prince in this chart?

I believe the tennis court on a helipad was just a temporary stunt. At least that is my interpretation of the following description:
When tennis stars Roger Federer and Andre Agassi visited Dubai, the Burj Al Arab Hotel converted their helipad into a tennis court 1,053 ft. in the air.
In 2004, golf superstar Tiger Woods got to use it as a driving range. You can’t help but wonder how many unsuspecting people were hit by golf balls that day.

Re: Statements
Why would anybody play there? Simple answer. an Arab prince told his son. " for your 16th birthday. I will get the number 1 and 2 tennis players in the world to play for you. They will play on the worlds highest tennis court. This one time only event will be just for your eyes." So the kid said "ok. daddy do it."
That prince converted his heli pad into a tennis court. Then offered each tennis star 20 million to play for his son. They took the offer and played tennis 1051 feet in the air. Money comes easy for some in Dubai.

I will think of that next time I say, "Fillerup."

That's your interpretation. Murph doesn't seem to have any problem arguing with it.

Re: Statements
"Everyone wants more elephants." What more is there to say? Anybody with that as their motto, no matter how long-lived or temporary, knows what he is talking about. Good soul. Good heart. Good mind. = good times!

I came back to look at my post and have to concede to the accuracy of your statement Rufus. I have no idea what my response means.
