Those of you who are my age remember the book Peyton Place? It was the raciest, sexiest, most controversial of the day. I have a TV antenna on the roof and with the new digital TV there are 3 channels that show movies all the time, mostly movies you wonder who thought it was a good idea to spend all the money to make this movie, but sometimes there is a good one. I don't think you get these channels if you have cable. I just saw parts of Peyton Place twice now and its a good movie. A lot of pretty girls dressed nicely but in the style of the day, I forgot when this is taking place but there is a new 41 Ford in it.
Not racy at all by todays standards, I see situation comedies on TV now with stuff in it where I wonder how they get away with it without being fined and told to cut it out or something.

When I lived near Springfield,Ohio between 1964 and 1970 we had a summer festival that featured an antique car show.
Your photos above reminded me of that.It was very enjoyable and fascinating.
I was involved with running the festival but always found time to see the autos.

Small world indeed, my paternal grandparents lived in Springfield from the late 30s to about 1955.

The pictures were taken at The Glenmoor Gathering, an annual car show held on the golf course of a gated community south of Akron. The show is relocating to Stan Hewett Hall in Akron next year.
