Blimey! Fastidious bunch aren't we? What's wrong with kissing, mind you I don't believe that bit about a pint of saliva. That or I must have a very dry mouth! Viewed dispassionately I would hazard a guess that its mainly the very young that go in for tonsil tickling by way of exploration, experimenting by proxy with what they hope will eventually follow.
Interesting topic but not one for the public arena I fear. I was just talking to my son yesterday about how important our animal DNA is and what fools we are to think that we've somehow risen above all that and its just for the lower animals. Pheromones, for example, play an important and sometimes devastating role in human relations and 99% of the time those affected are completely unaware they're being blindly led by instincts over which they have no control because they do not understand how much of what we 'think' is actually pre-programmed responses to chemical signals.
My son who is a kind and affectionate man is having a hard time getting close to his wife's two year old from a previous partner. I suggested that he place something of his a small article of clothing under the babies pillow and he do the same with the boys shirt or whatever under his own pillow. Pheromone imprinting is a really fool proof way to get animals to regard you as part of their pack/group/family.
The gypsys secret, if you have heard of this, the way they can steal a horse without it getting alarmed is to make a scent and breathe it gently towards the horse nose. A lot of ruminants can be calmed simply by breathing gently nose to nose with them, do it right and they'll follow you anywhere afterwards.
