Physically, yes. Mentally, I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to be when I grow up!

Well, aren't most of us that are sane do the same?

I'm still working on the world-wide adulation that I so richly deserve, but at the rate that it's going I'll probably have to just settle for world domination,

Rufus, you seem to have major image issues since your avatar changes at least once a week. Of course I've disappeared completely.

The fellow in the photo is a 9-year-old boy here in town who is obsessed with trains. I asked Dennis to post the pic. Thanks, Dennis! I had my first book signing at his mom's restaurant last night. Later, she found him upstairs with his old train buddy's novel.

I am merely in search of myself; if you manage to locate me, keep me there until I arrive.

Of course I've disappeared completely.

Noticed...

Very cool to see kids reading given all of the other stuff that's out there to distract them.

I've never had a book signing, nor do I expect that I will ever get a book written....I will get a copy eventually or at least recommend to my local library to invest in a few copies.

Maybe I should get my 1st 100 publications hard bound and label it Works Vol. 1..........except ELP used that title already,

I was happy to do it, Tramp.

A book signing--very cool. I hope you had a good turnout!

Here's a little change of pace. http://www.fishlakeerie.com/reports/pafish.htm Just scroll down to the entries.

Was a nice fish and gettin' a state citation and mention was kinda cool.

*Ouch*

I had meant to put this picture up here, and in the holiday crunch (and more likely, my old-age-ism) it completely slipped my mind.

Here it is, and it's one bitchin' big fish, and it was on what? 8 lb test line? Man, I did some fishing with a bobber when I was a kid, and pulled in some sunnies and perch, but I never caught anything like THIS, and it must be one hell of a thrill trying to work something like this into a boat/shore!

And I thought lake trout in California were big. Mitch's steelhead is gigantic. Congratulations Mitch.

Nice fish, but did the hat really burn? Looks more like a hit from a torpedo to me!

Well, no matter, Mitch.
It's STILL one hell of a fish, and all credit to you for your considerable skills, and I'm glad you got some well-deserved recognition for them and that lunker.

That picture is a keeper, suitable for framing!

No, not really. It was an image editing error. I did not want to start over just to restore the
hat so added a second lie (the first being that was a fish I caught) about my hat burning.
I had second thoughts regarding how funny it was and removed this "mine's bigger" image.

Actually, Wayne, the pic that you show was taken fairly close with a relatively cheap camera. Note the anglers' skinny legs, but how large his fingers are closer to the lens. And his other hand is completely around the tail of the fish. No way I could have gotten my hand around the one I got. The meat just ahead of the tail was 3" deep and nearly that thick.
It was an old time trick to place an object close to the lens of cheap cameras to make them look huge. (No depth of field). Used to be able to buy postcards in Pa. where a hunter would be holding a cottontail up, with arms extended, by the hind legs, and the pic would look like the rabbit was 4 feet long, as the hunter's arms were at about chest height, and it looked like the rabbit's ears were ready to touch the ground.

I know Mitch, cheap trick. Your steelhead was indeed HUGE with no tricks. How did it taste?
