I have driven most of it from the 'city of brotherly' love to Bedford. Some
very nice scenery and some interesting landmarks along that road. Parts
can be treacherous
when snowy and icy. Wouldn't want to be out there tonight!

Going over the mountain to McConnellsburg was at one time a bit of adventurous driving.

Yes, it's all missing us this year and I am somewhat disappointed looking for something like last year with a once a week snow that stopped everything. Those 3 and 4 day weekends were nice....

Tough on the NE and I hope Tramp is well hunkered down warm and well provisioned.

I spotted a robin today as well. He had long johns on and was looking south.

A mere 9 degrees here in No. VA outside of DC this morning with winds last night that rivaled some the hurricanes that passed through here in the recent past, but we were left with maybe 1/4" of snow that has turned to a nice film of ice thanks to the gimboids that just had to go and drive on it. Had the storm lanterns out after a few good flickers, too.

Watched some dipstick in his Cooper get educated about how not to drive on ice this morning going sideways through the stop sign intersection in front of me. Then the Escalade with the rear view covered with stickers that decided that I was in the way and in his lane.....

We may or not get 5-8" Mon night...........

Bringing in the firewood later today.

Colder up here (a big fat naught), but not quite the winds you had if of hurricane force (Sandy gave us some 75MPH winds).

All this global warming is getting tiresome-Grin!

We got easy 50 mph winds much of the night and higher gusts - Something hit the one wall hard enough to make we wonder if the one cottonwood had finally fallen against that side of the house.

At least we were able to enjoy a bit of nostalgia watching the 1st episode of SNL from 40 years ago....

No, despite the single-digit temps and roaring wind the Robins have decided to hang on for a bit, stripping the Japanese holly of all its berries:

Our wintering pair of mockingbirds are going to torqued-off about this latest development.

We had -11 here in southern Armstrong County at 7:00AM; -5 at Pittsburgh International, but no wind. We only hit a high of +7 today, and they claimed that we'd get 1-3" beginning in the late afternoon, but nothing yet.

Two-and-a-half inches up my way...not much of a storm. Covered the 37 miles from Westminster to Gaithersburg in about eighty minutes this morning...no traffic to speak of. Feds are closed...that makes a huge difference.

Closer to 4" here. 2 hours with the snowblower and took my daughter to work just to be on the safe side for her. Nothing in the way

Finally over the past few years they have learned it simply is the right thing to do and to avoid a totally frelled day.

Got ~4" more of that white stuff on the ground and more falling out of the sky today. Tried to go get my reading glasses but by the time we got 3/4 there heading west this morning, the roads were well covered. We figured by the time I got through and turned around that coming back might be just a little past crazy given what we was already seeing in the traffic. We doubled back and it took 3 times longer to get home just on the return leg.
