The flags drew my attention. The U.S. is being blown by the wind and the blue flag is hanging limp. ??

That is probably not your thing but it caught my eye.

The Mack truck (dog) insignia is on the side, to the right of the "4 - 10" designation, but the truck is made by IH or GM ?

Roger, that's our beer-drinkin', dozer-drivin', Hevy Chevy owner, and the Big Dog Hobo from Amish-land steering that thing!

I recognized the 'cannon'! :D

Ha ha Sarge, cracked me up. I say give them a bit of the hair of the dog!

Lupins, Pete! Thems are lupins, grow on the side of the roads all around here.

Cheers back at ya J#$*Q)(*#@)(NNN!

Tramp's on the phone right now with Dennis Brennan. He's telling him all this malarky about how my dad's a high-up in the Greek mafia and how it's been since he's married into the family. I think Dennis is buying it!

Here ya go Roger, It's flyin' a little bit. That flag is a little more heavier than the American flag. Takes a good bit of a breeze to git it going........................... :)

Murph Man, what does it say above the Bulldog in the circle on the front of the truck in this picture.................................

Yea it done it's job over the years. The Fire Co bought it brand new back in 1967 for 29,000.00!!! A far cry from what they cost today. We retired 2 years ago and keep it as a show piece and for going to parades.

Out new Pierce Arrow XT Pumper Tanker which we put into sevice 2 weeks ago cost 750.000.00.................................

I had no idea that Pierce Arrow was still in business. I knew they had been a maker of elegant cars many decades ago, back in the Packard, Duesenberg era, but was unaware they still manufactured vehicles. Interesting to learn.

Murph, Roger,

Although Pierce Manufacturing, founded in 1913 by Humphrey Pierce, makes a fire engine on a chassis they call the Arrow, the company has no affiliation with George N. Pierce's famous Pierce-Arrow Motor Car Company of Buffalo, New York, which operated from 1901 to 1938.

The Pierce Arrow Pumper/Tanker is an impressive fire fighter, but the Mack has style.
