Jon, is that a slide safety on top of the receiver? Mossberg??

Mitch, If the SPX is built around a 500 series receiver, it probably is a slide switch, although the spec's call for a "metal button". Having never seen one yet, I'll have to wait a couple more weeks for mine to arrive and I'll give you a run down on it.

Yes, there are sling attachments. But with a weight if only 6.5 lbs you don't really need one.

Nice, and I have always found sling attachment points to be handy on any long arm. Of the several different shotguns I have used, I actually prefer the Remington 870 family. I have never gotten used to the slide safety on a Mossberg, the crossbolt in the trigger guard on a Remington seems to be a bit more intiutive.

In reference to "The Bell" mentioned earlier, for what it's worth [probably not much],the History Channel has a program called UFO Hunters that covered this.I saw it today.

Why does the History Channel spend so much time on UFOs,Bigfoot,Nessie etc.?

Because people don't like real history?

I quit watching Monster Quest after almost a year of programs and they never found any evidencce of anything they were investigating. I think these programs are cheap to produce is another reason they have so many. Ed

Get down low, Drifter. There's a kid in the jungle with a weapon. Highrail has ordered some BIG GUNs to take care of the problem. The rest of us are making ourselves scarce. Come on over to Gomer's and I'll buy you a beer. Where were you in the hole?
