I just got rid of my Jeep after 12 years and 110,000. It was getting pretty beat and expensive to maintain. I'd love to get 540k out of a vehicle but alas those Pennsylvania winters and road salt are brutal.

What an engine, even if it has the break-away syndrome; thing has heart. Maybe when a better (well-fed) crew takes her, that will end. It really is my favorite engine, and thanks to A-Jon, she's running in the North East these days.

Tramp, My apologies!!! It was a late night at the armoury last night and a long day (as well as one tomorrow) preparing for our ARMS Inspection. I've got a fine rainy evening down here to sip a few with you, finally. And it looks like it's an all around 3rd Rail-buy-your-bro-a-beer-weekend!!! I just got off the phone with Gary (formally of 3rd Rail) and he has and is shipping me a 3rd Rail 4-4-2 Atlantic Monday!!! Hev, stick that in yer pipe and smoke it!!!!!

Use of Super Cooled Centrifuge to Separate Uranium-235 from Uranium-238
Gaseous uranium hexafluoride (UF6) is fed into a rotor that spins at a high speed inside an evacuated casing. Centrifugal forces cause the heavier uranium-238 to move toward the outer radius of the centrifuge, thus partially separating the isotopes. Super cooling the wall of the centrifuge causes the lighter uranium-235 molecules to diffuse toward the cold surface. Super cooling the uranium isotope containing gas also slows the diffusion of the gases at the boundary point. These two motions (diffusion and centrifuging) combined to separate the isotopes more efficiently than centrifuging or super cooling alone.
