Forget the driveway. It's gone. Drifted-in from the overnight wind. SOB.

Naw Pete. I do the same for belly flowers. That is a beautiful picture. Looks like freezer flowers (remember D's freezer trees?)

I was out trying to get some pictures of rain drops on the pansies, but the images just did not have the same sparkle as I saw with my eyes. So, instead, I took photos of the rainbow that appeared after the rain.

Image

I tried to rotate the camera around the optical axis of the lense but still could not get two images to stitch together. So, as you can see, I just stuck them together. To the left the rainbow arches over Cat Mountain (home to a bunch of Bob Cats) and ends in Star Pass. The old mail stage coach used to use that pass. Now-a-days it is just used for horses, hikers and mountain bikers.

Image

You might have noticed that this was a double rainbow. See how the colors (from inside to outside) are blue, green, yellow, red in the primary rainbow and red, yellow, green, blue in the secondary rainbow? That is caused because the secondary bow colors come from one extra reflection inside the raindrop. Kind of a mirror effect. You know... when you move your right hand, the image in the mirror moves its left hand.

Teacher: Hello, Jon B.?
Me: Yes, this is Jon B.
Teacher: This is Jonathan's kindergarten teacher, and I wanted to discuss something with you about your son.
Me: Please, continue.
Teacher: Your son didn't follow class directions so held held him back from recess to redo his work. When I asked your son what he thought of that, his reply was: "This is fun!"
Me: And?
Teacher: That's not the answer I was expecting.
Me: It was an honest answer.
Teacher: Because of that reply I told your son we were going to the principals office.
Me: And?
Teacher: Your sons reply was: "Great, let's go!"
Me: And?
Teacher: That wasn't what most kids say. Most kids start crying and whimpering.
Me: Has my child ever had to go to the principals office before?
Teacher: No.
Me: So why should you expect him to fear anything?
Teacher: The principal had a talk with your son and all the way back to the classroom your son just smiled. What do you have to say about that?
Me: I'd say he was a pretty happy-go-lucky kid who's not afraid of anything.
Teacher: I think we need to have a talk at school, Mr.B......
To be continued.............

Andre was back in Andover, MA freezing his butt off. He had two weeks of Digital Offset Press Machine training and then planned to look for old Mobilgas stations in MA. He should be back any time now. Wait... I think I see him getting off the plane now.

LOL!!
I didn't found any mobile gas station around Andover MA, just a bunch of old station and rusty rails that today go to nowhere.
I am back home and working hard...not to bad the point of view I am a hobo, every day I drive to different places meeting different people, and fixing different issues.....life is good.....

Hell, when I ended up in the Asst. Principals' or Principals' office, they usually called for me and both parents to come in. Then on the way home, my old man would say, "I'm gonna cut your *** off with a belt", which was more foreboding than actually gettin' my *** beat. There might have been a hundred different things I could do wrong, but I only did each one of them once. Worked for me; 3 of my 4 kids were just like me.

Jon, be afraid... be very afraid.

OK. That was a joke (I hope.) I am just dumbfounded by that story. It sounds like, "The Cuckoo's Nest Elememtary School."

"The Cuckoo's Nest Elememtary School."

Wayne, I can't believe my wife talked me out of my son's continuing attendance at a private school for this "crap" at a public school. No wonder Obama's kid's aren't in a public school either. I look forward to meeting Miss C. and the principal. Trust me, it's going to be interesting.

Jon, LOL, this sounds like "Uncle Buck" all over again!

She's going to tell you your son is 'a sillyheart, a dreamer, a twiddler, and he doesn't take a THING is his academic career seriously'.

So here's what you tell her...

"I don't think I want to know a six-year-old who isn't a dreamer, or a sillyheart. And I sure don't want to know one who takes their student career seriously. I don't have a college degree. I don't even have a job. But I know a good kid when I see one. Because they're ALL good kids, until dried-out, brain-dead skags like you drag them down and convince them they're no good. You so much as scowl at my son, or any other kid in this school, and I hear about it, I'm coming looking for you! Take this quarter, go downtown, and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face! Good day to you, madam."

:D 8) :D 8) :D

But honest-to-God, I can only imagine what this is all about.

Roger, don't tell me you've never seen "Uncle Buck".

Classic cinema!

And you, an educator.... LOL

:D

But then, you warned me once I might get in trouble for writing "***" and "f-ing", when the moderator himself started a thread with naked women!

Maybe you HAVEN'T seen Buck Russell!!

  :D

Welcome back Andre!

Thanks you guys for those gorgeous photos, incredible, I loved them. I've never seen ice crystals like that though I did try to make something like them with my freezer trees, it's true. And what a vibrant double rainbow arch, I loved it.

Jon, that is so nuts about that insane nightmare of a teacher. Really sad when innocence comes up against jaded defensive insensitivity. A teacher of young children is supposed to protect and develop that beautiful natural innocence. I might have to come down there and straighten her out. I'm quite fond of your boy.
