It took a while, just set in. I might have to try that the next time that I go to my favorite eating place!

Well, it is missing 78 and most turntables/record players did not have 16 (talking books, mostly recorded at that speed). I have two 'tables; one manual with 78 for fast-spinning and one automatic (end of play lift, not a changer) for 33 45.
The Technics SP-1015 fast-spinning:

And I do my listening through this Onkyo TX-4500MK2:

Re: The penny loafer.

The two Penneys were for the payphone, should you ever need to call for help and had no change.
In the late 1920s, the cost of a payphone call in the United States was two cents. In the 1930s, calls were five cents. Early in the 21st century as payphones became rare, the price of a call was fifty cents.

Payphones in the USA never cost two cents.

Another thought... When I was a kid my mom would find a penny on the ground and immediately pick it up and put it in one of her shoes for good luck.
Penney loafers could be a sales gimmick to take advantage of superstitious people.

That is correct, the coin chutes in the earliest phones were nickle only, later the capability for dimes and quarters was added.
The typical multi-slot; the design (by Gray Pay Station Co.and licensed to Western Electric [Bell} and Automatic Electric [independent]) was from the very early 1900s:

The multi-slot design just made it into the tone dial era:

I guess that needed elaboration and expansion,

Oh, but what about the 'roids?
2700 RPM???? That will sling the .... all over the place; never mind hitting the fan!

The operational problems/results/whatever boggle my mind!

Re: Seen in Print
2700 rpm’s of soft touch bristles rotating that close to your giblets is concerning to say the least. I see a belt type thing with a pulley and that’s even more frightening. Combined with the amount of freckles that thing is going to spin off on the back of the bowl. You’ll spend more money on toilet brushes and cleaner than you’ll ever save on toilet paper.

Think about this. Maximum RPM for a Cessna 172 is 2400-2700 RPM.
Stick THAT up your...oh, wait.
Bench grinders between 3450 - 3600 RPM.
