And then he decided it might be a good idea to incite a riot in which the insurrectionists threatened to assassinate elected officials. What a swell chap. Winner of this year's Benedict Arnold Most Valuable Traitor award. Deserves to spend his life in prison, frankly, just on the basis of his corruption and threat to democracy and the lives of others.

Cool story, bro'. I guess facts no longer matter.

Fact: the attacks on the Capital Building were planned days before the actual attack by some militant groups.
Fact: A BLM activist (who CNN's Anderson Cooper interviewed (the activist passed himself off as a journalist  )) took part in and incited damage.
Fact: Trump's comments to the crowd "to peacefully go to the Capital and make our voices heard" started 10 minutes after the attack.

This whole sordid 2nd impeachment bears a great deal of resemblance to that fake Russian collusion hoax. You know, the one where
  • There was never a shred of evidence of wrong-doing?
  • Evidence was falsified to get FISA warrants?
  • Obama's administration used the national intelligence and justice infrastructure to spy on a political opponent? No big deal, right? That's all the rage in banana republics these days.
Sorry Neil, you're wrong. Utterly, completely, unmistakably wrong. I get that you don't like Trump, but the facts don't support your statement.

It's not just the phones. One yutz DROVE down to DC in his car. Like most people that live in the NE corridor he had an EZ Pass in the car to pay all the tolls for turnpikes and bridge/tunnel crossings. The system dutifully documented his trip!

Even without the EZ Pass there are traffic cams all over the place which capture pictures of cars (including license plate numbers and some can capture the drivers image). Once the phone coughs up an owner/id, most of the rest of your personal information is accessible and they can screen the databases to gather more. This was a serious attack and the feds have a lot of hardware/software they can throw at the problem.

Early indications are that there were a sh*t load of dumb sheep that went along for the ride but there were some wolves in the flock that were trying for something more serious. The wolves main problem will be the sheep and all of their selfies/videos that captured them as well.

Wow Chuck! Any of this surprises you? These are hayseed hick Trump supporters who rely on Rush Limbaugh to tell them how to think and what to do.

I was under the impression that since the "Orange Orangutan or bad hairdo guy" as some people referred to Trump has now left the White House that they would have lost their obsession with him and be more concerned with their own future.

I was WRONG.

They are still riding this TRAIN.

How come it when the other side is in control and they push their agenda and wants support from the opposition it's good bipartisanship but when it's the opposition in control and wants support the other side is just being difficult and stupid? You can't have it both ways.

The last 4 years have been such a divide so that one side couldn't get what they wanted, the next 4 years will be more of the same. Just opposition for sake of opposition.

George, I understand your view of these facts, but for one, there's not a shred of evidence that the attack on the Capitol was a left wing false flag operation. 99% of those arrested were long term Proud Boys, 3 Percenters, and assorted other right wing true believers. And some seriously considered committing violence against the Vice President and assorted other leaders. Even in our most extreme opposition, none of us wanted the President assassinated. Except for maybe a few crazies on the left, but there are always crazies out there. There just happen to more right wing crazies at this moment in history, numerically.

The first impeachment wasn't primarily about Russia, it was about the attempt to suborn perjury from the Ukrainians and misuse of Presidential authority. There's never been any doubt about what happened there and that it was inappropriate and potentially criminal. The second impeachment is mostly about refusing to accept a fair and clearcut election, undermining the role of democracy in our society, and encouraging for months the lunatics and their like who attacked the Capitol based upon his lies, refusal to accept the legal process, and self-serving potentially criminal conduct. Both impeachments have serious and valid underlying legal rationales, and will soon be behind us one way or the other. The important thing is that a destabilizing and truly dysfunctional human being is out of the White house and we still, for the present, have a Republic, if we can keep it. I personally don't care what happens in the second impeachment, but it would be better for the Republican party as a source of rational conservative policy and thought, if Trump were permanently banned from office. We'll have to deal with the pathetic likes of Don, Jr. and Eric, and maybe Ivanka, but that's better than Trump himself. He's thoroughly discredited himself, and the party would be better off without him, as would the nation.

There is other cameras also. Next time you go through a toll both. Look at the 13 foot high polls. You may think they are for crash safety. they make side profile photo of every vehicle passing through. I saw a sticker on one. So one day i looked up the name. These cameras make a high resolution digital photo of cars. A photo that cam be blown up to life size in perfect scale. Most police cars now have license plate readers on them. state lines without tolls have cameras capturing license plate photos also.

I think I can safely say that the field is pretty even.

Next time you go through a toll both.

We don't have many of those  Thats why our road system is totally in the toilet! All of our tolls are water crossings. One tunnel and four (soon to be five) bridges.

All but one of these are international crossings and post 9-11 you have bigger things to be concerned about (e.g. border guards) than cameras. The one in-state is the Mackinac Bridge.

On that one you are more focused on the extreme beauty of the 5 mile drive over open water and the sheer terror of having to drive across 5 miles of open water. The center lanes are an open grate and you can feel the air trying to lift your car. The outer lanes with the insanely low guard rails "protecting" you from a 150' plunge into the straits (you can barely see the guard rails while sitting in the car). The bridge authority does monitor wind conditions and they close down when it gets too high. The center "grate" decking is a feature of the design to prevent a Galloping Gertie" effect that brought down the Tacoma Narrows bridge. The wind is "vented" through the grating. Very disconcerting. For people that are too nervous to drive across themselves (agoraphobia, acrophobia, etc) you can request a bridge authority driver to pilot the car across for you at no charge. No "Turnpikes", no "Thruways", just "free" highways that look like they had been repeatedly patched after long term arial bombardment.

Simple facts which I know are borderline impossible for you to comprehend - the House impeached him prior to the inauguration; zero evidence to support that the election was stolen.........but I have thoughts about the prior election having been stolen,

DC area is plagued by bridges over the Potomac; no tolls on any.............................yet.

Politicians hate to pay tolls. You’ll never see a bridge toll in DC.

Silly. It'll be on the VA and MD shore lines. State politicians love tolls!
