Re: Minneapolis
So? What's your point? And how is it relevant to my suggestion that we consider there are victims on both "sides"?
And photos are photos. Videos clips are records of actions by perps. Are you suggesting they have been fabricated, all along, and that the perps are the victims ?

Not really. What made your viewpoint superior to what's been available via the News? You've been at crime scenes taking notes and inventory of perps? Go visit a few large cities , especially at night , and let me know who "greets" you the most often. Shall I select the cities for you?
Malls?
Mall parking garages?
Parking lots?
As further example, I just now looked up from my iPhone at the tv News channel12 in front of me to see a photo from the last few hours to see a carjacker pictured. Want to guess what/whom I saw? I didn't have to look at the screen. More imagination on my part? Expectation?
BTW, Mr Johnson was caught, after he ran away, and arrested as the perp. He didn't look happy in his mugshot. Another victim. Maybe they'll ask the car owner for a perspective on that.
Then, what should the News programs present about it? Why don't you contact NJ Ch12 and enlighten them , and us here, on what should be reported, esp. about the poor perp-victim . Forget the car owner - it was his/her fault for working hard to earn a nice shiny vehicle and driving it down a street and expecting to do so inviolate.

Just trying to answer your question about the news as best I could.
Lots of victims out there. While they show the black victim killed by a whit police officer 24/7 they don't show any of the black victims killed by their own every week in St Louis Or Chicago.
Where are the memorial funerals for all the innocence children that have lost their lives in drive by shootings.Where is Al Sharpton at for them. Where are the protest for them ?

Not politically correct, so it's just winked at. Problems all over, but allowing all this violence in the name of fair treatment is ludicrous. We are definitely a country out of control.

When those happen in DC, the protests happen. Just because you don't see them on TV does not mean they don't happen; not everything is on the TV.

Did they accomplish anything or have the killings continued. What changes were made as a result of these protest.

Does get a lot more police in those areas for how long - no idea. In fact no idea if they ever even capture the shooters.....sometimes though they have...
Still it's not like protests and crowds do not happen because it did not get on TV or Nat'l coverage.

Re: Minneapolis
A Minneapolis manufacturing company, whose plant burned amid civil unrest following George Floyd's death, is leaving the city after nearly four decades and taking dozens of jobs with it.
The president and owner of 7-Sigma Inc. Kris Wyrobek felt inclined to do so after he says he lost trust in public officials during the riots that plagued the city, according to Star Tribune.
"They don't care about my business," said Wyrobek told the Star Tribune. "They didn't protect our people. We were all on our own."
The company, which designs and manufactures polymer solutions and precision metal components, has been operating in south Minneapolis since 1987. The city will effectively lose 50 jobs when Wyrobek takes his business elsewhere, according to the outlet.
Wyrobek isn't alone in his frustration. The city of Minneapolis says the looting and property damage have already caused at least $55 million in destruction so far.

Minneapolis Activists Want to Abolish Police Despite Over 500 Rapes in the City Annually

MPD150, a Minneapolis-based activist group seeking to abolish the police, said on its website that putting more money into social services will prevent violent crimes, though it doesn’t specifically address sexual violence.
The group conceded that “in this long transition process, we may need a small specialized class of public servants whose job it is to respond to violent crimes.”
Ring ring ring. You have reached 911. For an alderman press 1, for a social worker press 2, for information on affordable housing press 3, for a community organizer press 4. Or leave a detailed message and we'll get back to you in 7 to 10 business days. If this is an emergency, hang up and dial 911. Have a good day.

Other sides of the story might want to be looked at as Minneapolis has paid out $45 million in court settlements over use-of-force complaints about its police department since 2003.

And yet nothing has changed.....
So instead of changing the politicians that control everything they want to disband the police.

Shows you how hard to has been to make any changes for those 17 years.
So instead of changing the politicians that control everything they want to disband the police.
The politicians aren't the ones providing circumstances for the court cases that cost Minneapolis $45 million.
Could have used that $45 million better. Wonder what other bigger cities have been paying out - money that could have been used far better. We wonder how or where the money might come from to make changes -- they have it already, but it's getting wasted.

This was in the news last week. Philadelphia pays out almost $10 million a year. For police brutality. Here is something i only caught part of. They payout over 4 million in back pay. To officers charged with police brutality.
