Hobo Jungle
Turkey is out of the brine, sun is shining, wood and pellet stove purring, squid salad for lunch, beer drinking begins at noon. Do any hobos have Easter plans? I'm picking up mom at 2.
Jon, you must have the happiest kid in the South.
This car is simple but might be my new favorite. The car sides hang way over the trucks and the grab irons are nicely done. Besides, I've always liked that Streamliner lettering.

No need for wood or pellet stoves here ... it's sunny and warm.
As for food ... just some good old down south Bar-B-Q today.
Like the SAL boxcar on the left side of your picture ...
I have a few of those, Atlas did a great job on them.
GP
Sunny and in the 60's down South! The brined turkey is in the oven, the Anchor Porters are chilled, cheese balls, wine, excellent day! Well, except for Mr. Chocolate Bunny. He's dying a slow and painful death!!!!
Tramp, those boxcars are beauties!!!!!
Andre, The Master Blaster Of Plaster used 40 lbs of hydrocal to complete the project!! It's propped up now waiting to get some Scenic Express slate gray, raw umber, and burnt umber applied.

Running that red block Charlie.
Leah! Tell me about your Easter. Did your dad have you cleaning tractor bits?
Jon, I'm beginning to believe in the rock ridge. What's that structure? Have you brined before? (I'm not referring to your mind in beer.)
GP, the heart car is a beauty.
San, I hope you went for the crab.

This was my second time doing the "turkey brine" thing. I had mentioned it to my wife after reading how much San and you enjoyed doing it here.
Very nice flavor, but I'm still more in favor of a smoked turkey.

Leah, great to hear from you.
76°F heading for 83°F here in the Sonoran Desert.
Home made waffles to start the day, then weeding. I told my wife they were flowers, not weeds. She
said, "I don't see any flowers." So I got the magnifier out so she could see the flowers.
She still wants them pulled, sigh.
The humming birds are dive bombing me. They do that when their feeder is empty. I do not think they
are trying to get my attention, just looking for necter. There is none in my head, stupid birds.
Happy Flutter Machine
The bees are buzzing the Chinaberry trees, impatient for the buds to bloom.
Chinaberry Buds
Spring is here, happy Easter everyone.
