As you all know, even though I'm a born and raised New Yorker who via the military has carpet-bagged to the South, nothing represents the pinnacle of diesel like the Santa Fe Warbonnet paint schemed Chief!!!
As I was telling Tramp the other day on the phone, on the way to Nat'l Guard duty I pulled into my not-so-local hobby shop for the customary look-see. There in the display case it sat. I felt like a kid waking up on Christmas morning back in the fifties all over again!!!(but even better) I got on my knees pressing my nose to the showcase staring at Lionels bonafide scale F3 A/B units. Until then (living in the sticks), I had never seen the new scale set other then in pictures. WOW. If you've seen one in person, you know what I'm talking about. Well shortening a long story, it's on lay-a-way.
