I presume that's their bridge over the Susquehanna, although it's kinda tough to tell.

Yes; their bridge over the Susquehanna. There are a host of PC's of CVRR trains on the bridge over the Susquehanna, but this the 1st I've seen of this view, scene, and train.

I seem to remember the CVRR bridge being a poured concrete arch bridge (not to be confused with the Philadelphia & Reading bridge which sits just a couple hundred yards west of I-83). This must be Rev. 1 of the CVRR's crossing (the piers here look similar). Nice card...I've never seen the original bridge before.

One presumes so. Many local electricity suppliers grew out of the electric railroad business.

No idea. Burnt coal?

With your vast collection of early photos from Pennsylvania I consider you an authority on the era Plus you have visited many of these areas. So anytime you can provide more information about the pictures I am interested in learning more about it.
Sometimes I look up these areas on Coogle maps to see what it looks like today. It's interesting to see changes that have been made or that maybe it's still the same.

Ok, I'll do what I can - been a long time since I've been to some places. I need to get out more!

So do I - every so often I see places that I have not visited in 30 years and find that they have not changed at all or minimally, or that they are so radically changed recently that I do no recognize them at all.

The high school I attended in Bellaire, Ohio was built @ 1914 and is still in use as a high school.
It is still a beautiful building.

Philadelphia has a ton of schools from that era. All still in use. 5 weeks ago they found these schools to be filled with asbestos. For some reason nobody knows how it got past earlier inspections. 2019 and they can still find public schools filled with asbestos.

They were finding them full asbestos when I was in school in the Philly area in the 70's --- PCB's and other fun stuff. Guess it's all right where it was 50 years ago.
