Thanks for asking, Tramp. Pending evacuation order most any time, tons of smoke, no flame. Right here, we are starting to get a coastal air flow, which is good, but it ain't over. Cars are packed, pointed out of the driveway, ready to go at a moment's notice.

Appreciate the thoughts and prayers. Got the evacuaton advisory yesterday afternoon and the reverse 911 (mandatory evacuation recording)last night about 9:00 PM. Had the teardrop hitched up to the Toyota and went to the Del Mar fairgrounds evacuation center. A real sea of humanity, dogs, horses, and all manner of people. My wife encountered the governer (yes, him) face to face in a "photo op with the people". She chewed his butt for not having the state CDF cooperate with the military and get military choppers in the air.
That being said, the National Guard, Red Cross, and many volunteers are doing stand up service providine for food, medical needs, everything. We are cooling our heals over at L"Auberge this evening and tomorrow evening, but will each be going back to volunteer some blocks of time.
The house and property are OK. Went by this morning and no real damage other than smoke and ash. Watered down everything and left. The end of the Santana winds and another day will tell.

Our house, youngest daughter's house, and most other assets OK. One lot out at Santa Fe Farms was charred over, but there was nothing on it to begin with.. Will worry about that some other time. We have been blessed. Jahan came pretty unglued at seeing our house intact this morning and I was enormously moved. Went back late this afternoon, and there was a nice, moist coastal breeze moving though. We'll deal with the cleanup in a spirit of thankfulness.
Unfortunately, as the Santana wind dies, and the wind flips, the fire is now moving up slopes of the inland mountain ranges rather than driven down them by the Santana. So as we are breathing a sigh of relief and hoping to return to our home in a day or so, other folks are getting new evacuation orders. The Harris fire to the south of us is moving rapidly eastward
Much as I like teardrop camping, tonight at L'Auberge is a good respite. In one of those curiously nice gestures, the better hotels are offering 1/2 discounts to evacuees rather than taking advantage of people.
We did manage to put in a few hours of volunteer work this evening back at the fairgrounds. Lots of nursing homes dumped their elders, so there are lot of folks who need oxyegen bottles, diabetes medicine, and other issues The Army NG doctors and medical personal are doing a great job, but need a lot of help is seeing that these folks get their meds.

I hope she chewed enuff that he can't sit on a barstool. It ticks me off big time to see the politicos come around for these damn photo-ops. Keep the hell out of town so the firefighters and cops can do their jobs instead of having to create security and escort details for these idiots.
Stay in your respective offices so you can kick butts to get things operational, cut the damn red tape and shit-can some of the bureaucrats.

Just got in here for the first time this week. San Bo you are in are prayers and thoughts. Just heard on the news that the winds are dying down but are worried about the winds coming inland. Hang in there Bo. We are thinkin' about ya. ................................

I am happy to hear that your house was spared.
Your wife must have a lot of influence. The military aircraft went into operation today with CDF spotters onboard (so they do not put out back fires by accident.)
My wife's cousin in San Diego had to evacuate on Tuesday at 2:30 AM. He was allowed back today. His house was spared, but he says the area looks like a black moonscape.
