Lets wish my local friends the best as one of the largest local possible deployment of Pennsylvania Nation Guard Units has been announced. We have been put on notice that they may go to Iraq. Johnstown / Altoona area of Pennsylvania.

If you're in a Nat'l. Guard Unit it's not a matter of if you'll be called up , but when. With the war on terrorism in full swing the all volunteer army is stretched to its breaking point.

D,

Jon has been planning this change to his layout for about a year. He mentioned it a couple of times here. Jon even started a 3RS club over on the other side. The guys over there gave him a real bad time over it, so now he has to stop procrastinating and rebuild his layout. He already has several 3rd Rail 3RS locomotives and a slum landlord heaven 3RS city scene. He needs to 3RS the rest of his layout to show them what a real 3RS layout looks like. One of his goals is wider, more 3-rail-scalish curves.

In another post (on the other side again) Jon states, "It's not MY (3RS) club, nor am a member. I was simply poking fun at it." (Of course we all know that when someone denies something, that is proof that it is true.)

I suppose Jon is going to have to change his moniker from highrailjon to 3RSJon. He needs a new avatar too. Maybe something like this...

Wayne, how did you arrive at the conclusion that Jon is a 3RS guy. I went back and read all the threads and he was rippin' *** on every one, as we should be. The name itself is a contradiction in terms. Or, am I confused? :?:

Mitch, My anti-3RS rhetoric could be interpreted as a cloaking device hiding my closet longing as a 3rs ring leader! I might actually have Lucky Charm Kadee Couplers sewn into my underwear!

Well, since you're admitting latent desires, I guess I'll come out of the closet, too. I really want to be a 2 railer. There, I've said it, and I feel sooooo much better!

Wonder where the hell that motorcycle ridin', beer swillin', poet is lately. And Hev, well, I guess he's attending his first York.

Didja watch the DVD, Jon. I think that's from 3 or 4 years ago, now. Lots of new stuff since that came out.

Did you know, MILLER LITE SUCKS!

Mitch, Its some very interesting stuff!! Something to consider for the new layout- but for diesels only as MTH's diecast look pretty primative. :D

One thing I think is really cool is crankin' the engine up to notch 2 or 3, then start rollin' the thumbwheel up slowly. Guys are reporting better sounds from MTH engines with a speaker change. They were supposed to team up with Bose, but I don't know if it happened.

Mitch,

"How did you arrive..." It is Jon's joke. I was just playing along with it because it is so funny. I am sure D got it. She is always playing us the same way.

"...a contradiction of terms." You got that right. That was the whole point of Jon's spoof. It was all a big joke. You are not the only one who missed Jon's point.

Jon,

You did not like this one?

My opinion of using any form of this photo as an avatar is that it is too butt ugly for even this forum. It hurts my eyes. Your face avatar is drop dead beautiful compared to that photo. I hope this does not encourage you to keep it. I am being serious for the moment.

Jon,

Just wondering if this new avatar is a spinoff of your recently acquired Honorary "Brasshole" status?
