NO NO NO NO NO! I demand that you string the damned poles first, then rip them out. Just who do you think you are?

MESSAGE TO HEV: Bought a bag of whole bean organic MARQUES DE PAIVA gourmet 100% organic Aribica coffee at Sams', medium roast. Ground it in the store. While not a bad coffee, let me say this is not the coffee I had in Canada, and it sure as hell ain't worth 2.5 times the price of a can of Maxwell House Master Blend. 40 oz. bag, $13.87. The search continues.

Jeezez H. Keeriste, Daisy. You are out of control. A good three day bender is what this doctor prescribes! Get drunk and help Tramp lay some track through the hallway.

Congratulations to fellow Hobo, P & R Pete, alias, "the Dirt", on the new grand daughter. She's just cuter than a button.

How about those posts from Daisy? She's showing a humorous and witty side I don't think I've seen before. :)

Oh, Daisy has pumpkins, alright... 8)

That was 'His Hev-ness' called me Dirty Harry, and all it was, was a lucky shot anyway.
My older daughter (first marriage, and all that shit) got Bell's Palsy late in her pregnancy, which hasn't yet resolved, so no pics allowed. I just loved that pic of Leah. Sarah's man is a redhead, hence Isabella's tint. Tell Trampy he rides a Buell and is proud of his 42° lean-angles and chinese wheelies, courtesy of 6-pistons. They speak each other's language.

Both my first children chose well and wisely. That's more than the Redhead can say!

Strange lookin' crotch rocket, Pete. One purpose in life; go very very fast everywhere. I'd be dead inside of 2 days.

Amen, bro. Mine is a cruiser.
The older I get, the more 'slow and steady' appeals to me.

I do appreciate the form and functionality of it, though. Few things were built for such singularity of purpose, with no unnecessary frills added. Muscle and alloy.
Art (the husband) is long, lean, lithe, and athletic. I'd wager he can do that machine justice.

Me, I'm satisfied to eat his dust.

Me too, Bro. I ain't nuthin' like I was when I was younger. In '72, when I came back from overseas, I bought a new 750 Honda 4 cyl. Pretty hot bike back then. In '75, I bought a brand new Super Glide, and at first I was really pissed off that it wouldn't accelerate or corner anything like the Honda, but hey, it was a Harley.

When I was drivin' truck, if the truck would've done 130, I'da dunnit. I was drivin' a '72 Jimmy conventional with a sleeper box, had a 903 Cummins V8 and a 13 speed Roadranger tranny, and on one occasion runnin' empty, from St. Ignace, Mich. to Toledo 5 Truckstop in 4hr 20 min. I'd called dispatch and told 'em I was leavin' St. Ignace, and when I called 'em a few hours later, they wouldn't believe I was at T5. If I recall, St. Ig was at the 350 mile marker on I-75, plus 23 miles of Ohio to the truckstop. 373 miles in 4:20. You do the math. When ya hit overdrive in that truck, the speedometer would come down to the m in mph at the bottom of the speedo. I don't know how fast that was, but for an 18 wheeler, that's gittin' on down the boulevard. Back in those days, Michigan was good runnin', especially from about 50 miles north of Detroit, all the way up to the Soo on the Northern Peninsula. You'd a been hard pressed to find a cop back then. Sigh. Those were the good old days.

Nowadays, I run the speedlimit, may just a little faster. Sometimes less than the limit. I might be one of those painintheasses that causes roadrage.

I have to admit I can grow pumpkins anywhere including the fine ones that grew in the coal ash dump. However I never grew pumpkins as nice as the ones beside Daisy.

Well this weekend means getting the snow blower ready for winter. I hate the thought of getting it out from behind everything but then again nothing is better than a 7 foot wide snow blower in the winter.

As a matter of fact I have a lot of pre-winter work to get down this coming weekend including the boat. It went out on the water a total of one day this year.

CHALLENGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite thing after trains is math.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Express the 20 minutes in hours: 20 minutes/60 minutes/hour = 0.33 hour.
Add hours = 4 hours + .33 hour = 4.33 hours
Calculate miles/hour = 373 miles / 4.33 hours = 86 miles/hour

Back when I was growing up, if you didn't start someth'n, there wouldn't be noth'n.
