Andre, Jon-Jon's gonna be fine, thanks for asking. The wife took it the hardest seeing as it was "her" dog. He's really in a better place. He led a royal life, trust me!!!!!!!

I've got the next round.

Well I hope there's a dog Heaven for that incredibly sweet looking guy. Sixteen years is a long time to spend so close to such a lovely creature. Nice to read how many hobos love their hounds. There's no relationship like the one you have with a dear sweet pet.

So sorry your companion's gone Jon! I'm sure you can at least feel good knowing what a great life you gave him.

The next round of bones is on me. I mean beers!

Jon

Sorry about your pup. He'll be waiting for you. Hopefully he'll run across Kodi and they'll have some play time.

No pumpkins this year.

We thought we'd try putting them up by the barn since last year in the garden they grew across the entire lawn and up the lilac tree, making it a tad hard to MOW.

But they didn't come up this year by the barn. Instead some kind of wierd poppies did. I"m kind of in a quandry as opium pie just doesn't have that nice Thanksgiving sound to it like pumpkin pie does.

Though maybe Tramp's mom would disagree!

We had some "volunteers" come up on their own during the Summer but they caved in.
The layout dismantling is going, but slowly. The trains are off the upper loop as well as the track. Next will be removing the plywood loop and all the trestles.

Roger, After permenently removing my upper loop, I'm going to raise my lower outside loop 2 inches above my inside loop on styrofoam, add factory and industrial fronts, and change the track from 72 dia. to 96 dia.
And maybe, just maybe after all that I'll string some mother ****** wire on my mother ****** telephone/power poles because thats the touch that really lets others know you've ****** made it. And a "clean" layout also helps.

Jon, sorry for your family's loss.
When Kim had to have her dogs put down, each in turn, she and the kids cried like babies. It's hard, damn hard.

I missed the R&T Fall Harvest this year.

Word got to me, however, that since Hev graduated from the R&T Steam School, they finally allowed him to 'solo' on one of their steam tractors.

They were kind enough to send me a picture.
