Andre, I'm really not sure how to paint it yet!!! I do have a small bottle of this stuff Gary sent me to brush on bare brass and it will blacken it. I'm going to try a bit of that on the underside of the stand this weekend to see how it looks. If you have any tips let me in on it!!!!!! :D

I don't know exactly, but black patina work well on lead, maybe on brass too.
