Re: HUMANS
Somewhere along the line, I saw a Mad Comic-type of presentation of Snow White...etc. renamed something like "Snow-white and the Seven Perverts," which even made fun of the Prince as being, evidenced by his own actions, guilty of necrophilia since he proceeded to kiss a corpse on the mouth. I found this lunatic version a real hoot, though that was decades ago, was I was even weirder. I'd still think it was demented-funny, though, but have no idea where and when I saw it.

You think that Disney will re-make Song of the South as a live action movie?
The owls may indeed not be what they seem but still serve an imperative function: they remind us to look into the darkness.

If that were even possible to do.........seems unlikely.

Although I agree with you, with Disney anything might be done.

Good one Roger... I like your sense of humor. In our political correctness atmosphere I think even a Spike Lee rendition could sink the Disney ship.

Re: HUMANS
Has "political correctness" come to mean kizzazz and give a handout to the "entitled" ones?
And under no circumstances whatsoever expect a day's work and/or investment of time and actual effort in oneself by behaving, exercising self-control, paying attention, and learning while in school?

That seems to address a very wide swath of today's population.........including the "I'm old! Gimmee!" set.

I don't know anybody like that, and I'm in the company of Seniors quite often. Everybody I know worked, learned, and continues to work at being a contributor to their own lives, and to the Church, and to the community. In fact, several of us have monthly meetings to discern ways we can be productive for the benefit of others and be helpful, whether it is making sure food (dry-packaged and canned) gets collected (every week) and taken to the Needy; also, clothing, and even pet foods and toys for animals are collected and given. Also, voluntary work is contributed to the benefit of the school on-campus.

If you are seriously interested I can introduce you to a sh*t load of them. They are everywhere. They behave badly in stores, restaurants, airplanes, behind the wheel of a car, ...... They are still the exception to the rule but they are getting way more aggressive/visible.

Once I built a railroad, I made it run,
Made it race against time.

Brother, can you spare a dime?

Re: HUMANS
I have seen the tops of heads and a couple hands at the helms sailing huge old Towncars and DeVilles ditty-bop down streets but I just wait for them to sail by and go on my way. That's about all I'll need of that type of experience , Chuck.
Nice of you to offer, though, to broaden my experiences.
P.S. I have had, on more than one occasion, elderly women address me as "Father" when I have entered our church early for Mass on some Sundays, or at times I have been there doing various odd-jobs. I happened to have been wearing black each time , though with regular collars, of course.

Exactly........and way, way too many of them have their eyes glued to their phones in all of the above locations as well as just walking out into traffic.

so what do these people want.?????
Are the old people that say Gimmee and those that behave badly the same people or are we mixing two different subjects.
