The current systems are not available for everyone now. There's a lot of belief in a future that's not going to arrive as advertised.

I understand - I still use a flip phone, And, there is zero reception at my place in PA - Zero-G!

We have flip phones also. One stays in the car and my wife refers to it as the car phone.
It doesn't even get turned on unless someone says they will be calling us.
The other phone is used by wife to call me on the house phone (land line) after she goes
to bed and I am in another part of the house.

That's where mine was stored for a few years - strictly for emergencies and such. We basically no longer use the land line, so I do use the flip phone for most things now.
