Jon, I like it. But one must remember the condition that Dennis gets into (juke jumping and the like), that he wouldn't even be able to sit up straight, let alone drive the damn thing. He'd end up in the crik for sure.

Oh, I'm just a lonely boy.
Lonely and blue.
I'm all alone,
with nothing to do.

Nothin' better than a couple of hotdogs roasted on a forked stick on the open fire, and a cold beer to wash 'em down. Some company, maybe a little conversation, would make it a night.

Hev!! Ya got her shinin' like a diamond!!!!! :D :D :D :D
But now it's my turn to have Ford problems!!!!!
I ran a friend a couple hours south in the wife's Taurus to rescue his dog and halfway back after a pitstop the transmission quit!!!!  Luckily I stopped a gas station that had a wrecker sittin' in it and 200.00 plus an hour later me, my kid, the wife, friend, and dog were at the Ford dealer. Bubba the tow truck operator coulda got a in the shower more often, but still the trip ended well.

Beer anytime, but the cars, they're all friggin junk. The more electronic crap they keep pilin' on for lazy assed people, the more they breakdown.

So Jon, was the tranny workin' fine right up 'til you stopped for gas? Not leakin'? If so, it's more than likely a sensor, such as an input or output speed sensor. This translates into a cheap fix, as opposed to a major problem.

Mitch, I'm thinking it's a sensor as well. My wife's cousin is a mech at the dealership and if it's not that he suspects a bad torque convertor. I'll know tomorrow.

I'm in for another. I don't know about Ford, but on most any vehicle a torque converter usually gives some notice that somethin's gonna happen. You know, like delayed engagement or a whine. But isn't that just like Murphy's Law(as it applies to Mitchell). You buy a big ticket item like the new brass engine, and sure enough, a major failure on something essential. The only thing is, for Mitchell, we use Swartz' Law, that being, Murphy was an optimist!

Yeah, It's a case of the old Ying/Yang syndrome for sure!!!! I did notice when I step on the gas to try and move it, it's got a good whine coming from it now. I sure could use another beer!! Are Ya keepin' up with me? Looks like we''ll be closin' Gomer's tonight!!!

Hey, I'm tryin' to keep up.

A loud whine and little or no fluid pressure does not bode well for the old bank account if it's not still under powertrain warranty.

A toast to Mr. Murphy! (That *****)

Hey look, I've been censored. Rhymes with brick.

Jon, I got this round. It's been so busy around here it's like JFK. Another load arriving tomorrow.

Mitch, do I need any extra tips or advice to tighten the wheel bearings on the '66? I've done it before but that was 8 years and 20,000 beers ago.
