Oh, Christ, the grabhandles are way too thick, and that ladder, what a friggin' mess and Oh,   Shut up, Mitch.

They're beauties, Jon. MTH is really comin' on in their detail dept. Do those have the KD mounting holes, too?

Y'all can call me Chain Puller, for short.

Jon, that set is something. How much? What lights up? Particularly in the observation car.

Your question. Are you asking if the boiler bands can be tinted to stand out in crisper detail?

Tramp n' Chain Puller- I don't know about Kadee mounting holes, the 5-set is MTH 20-65094 delivered to my door for $338.00 from Georgia. No layout up and running, so I'm not sure about the lighting yet.

Your question. Are you asking if the boiler bands can be tinted to stand out in crisper detail?

Tramp, Look at the 1st following pic 's front boiler band then look at the second pic where i've added some "digital shading" between the band and the boiler. Can you see where I'm trying to get a thin amount of "paint" between the boiler strap and plate to try to get the strap to stand out.

Yup. If you use a diluted wash and stroke a pointed brush along the seam it should work. The wash tends to suck into the crack when it dries. As always, use a magnifier and a big bodied brush with a fine tip. That help? Not sure if it's worth it though, but that's up to you.

Hey, Ken!!!! They're beauties!!!!! Over a year and a half wait on them to boot!!!!   Sorry, my photos don't really do them justice as I had a limited amount of time to shot before the rain showers began. I'll get some more going later in the week. Honestly, if there's any Dreyfuss fans out there- these cars can't be beat for the price.

The trucks on that car really do look nice. Are they the stock MTH truck for their lightweight cars? I see they sell them separately in their catalogue. If they are like that, I want to get some.

Tramp, Thanks!!!

Hev, Thanks, I'll know for sure if the deal goes through or not by tonight!!

Dennis, Thanks!! As usual I had the settings completely backwards!!!

Andre, Good tip! , the truck springs need to be darkened.

Chris, I'm not sure if the trucks are available for seperate sale. I do know they're are wired differently then the earlier trucks, so some wire splicing may be required.

Thanks Jon. The trucks are listed in the most recent catalogue for about $25 a pair. I have to visit my local dealer to see what the deal is.

I'm still waiting on my new catalog!!!  Also a note concerning the wiring on the new style trucks!!!!!!!
There seems to be a problem with some of the truck wires shorting out on certain track. Here's a link to the article and the fix:
