Did you notice the scammer's URL is "river slinks", not "river link"?

About 3,000 polar bears live in Svalbard, Norway, outnumbering the human population.

About 25,920 Skunks live in Adair County, outnumbering the human population (1.34 skunks per human.)

The skunks are adorable. When you get close, some of them show off by walking on their hands.
The one that lives under our pool deck had 4 babies last year, so make that 25,924 skunks in my county.

Wayne, thank you for the statistics! I could get along with skunks in the neighborhood. I'm not sure if I would be happy with a polar bear. I had a dog who in the course of 3-4 years got 'skunked' 4 times. There is even a descenting wash room at a local carwash. :)

The mentality of advertisers and the buying public is moronic. Is this what we've come too? :(

Dear Wayne,

During the past few weeks, Lionel has been working to understand the recent tariffs implemented on imported goods and how they will impact our business. Currently, we are facing a 20% tariff on products we import from China.

At this point, we don’t know if that percentage will change, nor how long the tariff will be in effect. Given these uncertainties, we are reluctant to implement across-the-board price increases that would place the full burden of these changes on our customers.

Starting Thursday, March 27th, Lionel will implement a 5% Tariff Surcharge. Any new and existing sales orders for product that is received after March 7th, 2025 will be assessed a 5% surcharge.

Any new or existing sales order for certain products that arrived at our warehouse prior to March 7th, 2025 will not incur the surcharge. Please call us at 800-628-6202 with any questions.

You will see the Tariff Surcharge amount listed separately in the shopping cart and on your sales order.

The Lionel team will continue to review and adjust or remove the surcharge from shipments going forward should the current Tariff change or be lifted.

We sincerely appreciate your business and continued support of the hobby,

The Lionel Team

That's interesting on many points. Maybe model trains building will move to another country or back to Korea, but regardless, at least for the near future, new model trains built in China will cost more. It's obvious giving China 3rd World trading status before the turn of the century created a monster.

Look at it this way. Lionel is charging 5 percent on product already landed in the states.

The way I look at it, Lionel is trying to keep ahead of the game.

That could be. With so much product on the secondary market. I would probably never buy a new item. Tariff or not. Where will mid west have his stuff made? Imagine telling those buyers “ uh hum you owe me 25 percent more”

The last 73 days, 10 hours, 52 minutes has been interesting. I imagine we have at least four years more of interesting times ahead of us.

Yes, "interesting times" might be an understatement, but we are definitely in for some changes.

This was a shock...

After 25 years in business, I have made the decision to close down Graham's Trains.

TEMU seems to be having trouble selling some of its products. I just received this advertisement via email.

Gee, I wonder if the brand name has anything to do with no sales?
