Yeah, Kentucky got hit. I had about 1 inch of snow fall from sunrise to noon. Then it started to melt and freeze at the same time???
The result was little icicles on power lines, communication lines, and tree limbs.
It was pretty.

Yup, starting to see some branches come down. Praying that the big white pine out back stays intact. Temp hovering right at freezing at 1120.

We didn’t lose any branches. At one point it rained to hard for freezing on the trees. 31-33 degrees till noon. That rain water must have been warm enough. My car looked like an ice m&m

Well, the white pine came through unscathed, but a second round of ice set for Saturday evening.

They’re calling for snow a couple days next week, but I’m tellin’ ya, it’s unlikely. I’m going to pick up the repaired snow-blower on Saturday...that should guarantee no more snow.

I don't know about the north but here in So West Missouri it was -3 degrees last night. We have around 4 inches of snow

Cold enough to freeze the ball off of a brass monkey

Yeah, the OKC area was a few degrees above -0- and will be again tonight. Not that we don't see these temps for a few days each winter, but normally in January and not the tail end of February. But, OK weather is a lot like MO. If you don't like it, just wait a few minutes. :D

Hagerstown almanac predicted an unseasonably warm winter...they are way off, and I’ve got the heating bills to prove it, lol.

yeah, the Jet Stream must have been disturbed or ???, because it dipped way down this past few weeks. Any scientific reasoning for this (earth tilt, rotation or ???)?
