HONDO74
Re: HONDO74
Swapped emails with him over the last few days, comparing notes on postwar locos. He’ll chime in, I expect.
Re: HONDO74
What about chuck? He generally posted quite a bit on the 3 rail forum, but I haven't seen anything from him in ages. He's a modeler.

Apparently, this forum only has room for one know it all

Ya think he didn't appreciate one forumite whose name appeared as "last poster" on half the visible threads?
Dave....gone by invitation
Re: HONDO74
Are you saying there was some kind of a rift? I'm clueless.
Chuck always was informative and I enjoyed his posts.

As far as I can tell, Chuck's last post on OGR was April of 2018.

As Healey/Paul posted he and I have been communicating, Paul has been a great inspiration for me to rekindle my interest in toy trains. I kinda gave up after the wife passed away. He and I have a common interest in Prewar and tinplate.
Paul lives close to York and from the last 2 shows he has picked up some items for me. He also picks of items for Sarge. To get to York would be a full 2 day drive for me. Even thought I was A member of TCA for over 35 years I have never been there
I do spend a lot of time on the internet. For the last few months I have been buying quite a few trains off of Ebay. Something I haven't done in probably 12 to 15 years.
There is a person that lives about 60 miles from my house that buys and sell trains. I bought an item from him at a local train shows last Nov. He gave me his Address and phone number he opened up a shop at his house And sell from there on Tue/Wed And Thur. I have been to his place twice in the last 2 weeks and bought some more trains. I was there on Wed. He has quite the layout in a nice big building besides his place. We ran some of the trains on Wed. To see his place you would think you were in one of the Big hobby shops
He is kinda out in the country. He has 2 motor homes that he travels to other states to buy. he and his wife are getting ready to go to York. Said he joined TCA in 1982.
So I haven't been spending that much time on the forum as usual. I didn't figure anyone would miss me.

I missed you pal but I’m glad you’re well and playing with your trains.
