What I liked best about the show was that they all seemed to be having a good ol' time of it, pleased with themselves, with tongues planted so far into their cheeks I was surprised they could talk. I was more amazed at them, at each episode, than I was amused and laughing.

But don't listen to me, I never even laughed out loud at Sid Caesar and Imogene, nor at Jackie Gleason, and definitely not at Red Skelton, who actually nauseated me, in truth. But they were all having a good time of it, too, so that counted with me. It's nice seeing people having a good time with themselves and friends.

If you've not seen the documentary it's well worth the time and it gives a lot of insight from the characters and the writing of the show by Cleese and his wife (at the time) Connie Booth.

As a British car fan, I can entirely relate to this. The 1100 was a great little car...an aunt of mine had a green one.

I have seen it - from 2009. It's excellent!

The episode with the garden gnome is a classic, but them every episode was something special.
