Sent by the old crony. Interesting read. Obviously you need to read the explanation as to where the money is to be used, but on the surface these items look pretty disgusting and certainly not part of a stimulus bill (IMHO) to keep the country financially solvent. I think the NPR $300M p*sses me off the most, but I have a real hard on for their liberal minded agenda and news reporting. The Schumer gaff a couple of weeks ago was a great example. Had that been someone on the other side of the aisle they would have dwelled on it for days instead of just a mention....as they did.

The government could have given every person over $6,000, but instead will give $1,200 to each adult under a certain income.

Business as usual. I'm betting there's even more stuff buried in this bill that we'll be finding out about for years to come thanks to the Senate's manipulations.

Real question is whether there are any strings attached to the big money going to big businesses, or are they just going to be able to pocket it all again.

Still funny that all the capitalists that were railing against socialism are either handing out money or have their snouts in the trough......again.

Well, someone needs to get a copy of the bill and see what money is going to "big business" as the only mention on this list is airlines who are getting $100M of the $25T they requested. No mention of small business either or unemployment or ??? Obviously the list is one sided, but still ugly.

It's very one sided and clearly rife with bias, but it's also business as usual. I thought that the final version did address small business and unemployment.

I'm sure the complete bill will cover small business and much more. There is a lot not mentioned on this list and yes it is very biased. But, appears to cover some of the pork barrel aspect of the package. Maybe this is why it took more days than it should have to pass it, as one side or the other didn't like what was being added, that was non-stimulus to my thinking.

Pork greases the process; it's inevitable. We can only hope that it actually does something positive for the average citizen. We already know it will take care of the big guys and the 1%.

If the companies failed The impending disaster would not be like a trickle down, it would be a complete disaster like a waterfall or a dam break with everything downstream getting washed away. That was the too big to fail part. It would take too many other thing down with it including the country.

They all needed to go bankrupt.

What would of happened if General Motors failed.

But then again, this is what capitalism is all about.........put all your product effort into a single customer that fails. Poor decision making happens and businesses fail. Businesses take on ridiculous debt and then when it gets called or they can't make payments, businesses fail. More poor decision making. Sad that it happens, but if we bail everyone out every time, then we only perpetuate and establish that poor decision making is acceptable and will be rewarded. This is also why some serious strings need to be attached to these bailouts...oops!....stimulus payments.....

Two levels - us and them. It's poor decision making for you and me and the company and its employees that have to pay the bill at the end of the day; since it's exceedingly rare that any executives and CEO's ever get prosecuted and just walk away with our money in their pockets.
