Hey, I get folks taking pictures of themselves, sort of, with their iPhones , "Selfies."



Ha-ev-ah, if they include somebody in the shot with them, isn't it a "We-ie " or an "Us-ie" ? Huh? Huh?

Definitely an "Us-ie." Thank God, the boy in the middle's mother took that picture of us. Talk about preserving "one moment in time."
Such joy and peace.
We never had a cross-word, never a fight, not verbally, nor physically. There was nothing upon which to disagree. Life in that rock-solid (literally, since every house was 100 % made of good ol' Pennsylvania brick, and still stand, to this day, unfazed by time) neighborhood was a daily joy.

The boy next to me, whom I have seen off-and-on over the decades, sent a generous donation, last year, upon the death of my wife, to our church for the betterment of its buildings and grounds, which had been mentioned in the obituary as a recourse for those who might wish it. He didn't tell me about it, not one word. Rather, I received an e-note from the Rectory that a check had been received from him.

He always had class.
