I suppose there is some geopolitical strategy involved. Like putting a boundary around Mr. Putin.
I dimly (very dimly) remember an agreement with Ukraine about protecting them if they gave up their nukes.
Anyway, the amount is round-off error in the DoD budget.....

Yesterday, a large coyote jumped a young man on Rutgers U. (NJ) campus and bit him.

Considering the tree-lines along the waterways, that's not far from me, but I'll be out there doing my exercise walking this morning, shortly, armed of course with my trusty coyote-bad-dog-bad-bear satchel over my arm, ready for whatever.

Just think of the exercise you will get if a coyote chases you nipping at your butt.

I would much enjoy taking a piece out of him first. I'm serious. I've never been given to running away (even though I have religiously had my SUV 's door open awaiting a speedy retreat, if obligatory, when I have explored the forests Upstate NY.)

Advice was offerred in the News, today, never to turn your back on a coyote, nor , by extension, run away from it, stimulating its predatory instinct.
