Life is pain, Princess. Anyone who says differently is selling something.

Re: Trump and Puerto Rico
Never really liked the fact that PR is an American satellite country, but they have been for quite some time and I am loathe to say it, but I think we need to take better care of them and get them on their way to becoming an independent state. I do not like the idea of government intervention, but we could use the military to get that country going. We have Army Engineers and Navy SeaBees that could redesign and implement fixes to their electric power problems. They can do it all, from power generating stations to distribution with the poles, wiring, and transformers, and the money spent would be basically for the redeployment of the troops and materials, as all service personnel are already being paid whether they have a mission or not. Additionally, the military, (and military intelligence), could be quite helpful in the drug interdiction and to help to cut the crime rate. There's just that age old problem of Washington throwin' money at something and thinkin' that the problem is taken care of when in reality, they've just enriched a few who have the contacts with the government, and those elitists just give D.C. lip service with no show. At the same time, the F.B.I. could hook up with the few honest government people and help to weed out the useless robber barons. JMHO!

You can forget about Republicans doing anything for Puerto Ricans. I'm afraid Mr. Obama may have done as little, since he did nothing for the Syrians. Nothing. Not a God damned thing. Not to mention, that he was Deporter-in-Chief.
The Puerto Ricans clearly need help. I know a chef went down there, and saw to it people got fed. Good, for him. Apparently, Puerto Rico will now be hit harder by hurricanes, because of global warming. Whatever changes they make to their power supply will need to take that into account.

Re: Trump and Puerto Rico
Puerto Ricans are American citizens. Americans.
Re: Trump and Puerto Rico
Puerto Ricans finally figured it out. It's not Trump or republicans, It's their own corrupt government that has been screwing them.....
prosecutors in Puerto Rico charged six former government officials with embezzling $15 million in hurricane reconstruction money.
More than a dozen other government officials have already resigned in the wake of the scandal.

Yeah, if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. Such was the case, with chef Jose Andres.

That's Republican rich psychopaths, and business psychopaths, with their efficiencies-of-the-market dogma. But, they don't have to live with the reality on the ground. Putting some corrupt individuals in prison won't feed Puerto Ricans, or get their power back up.
