Not quite accurate - the person that was called an idiot was the one that had listed some K&S brass on eBay for what started out as a ridiculous price and then revised that listing.

Two totally different people.

Rufus your thread about the price of brass was into page 4 before I even noticed that this new member that Roger was referencing was actually posting. So I posted in Rogers New Member thread to look over there to see that he was posting.

I have no idea if the links you posted relate to this person or not. Then I finally started reading the whole thread to try and figure out what it was all about. I very seldom read anything in the 2 rail section as I am not into this nice scale train stuff and can't contribute anything to it. Therefore I stay out of it.

I see the words idiot being used and it appeared to me that this person came here to defend himself ???

Remember several years back when there was a thread called The OGR crapper. ?? several of those that were being criticized joined MTJ to criticize back. Turned into a real circus.

I haven't figured out why members here get so concerned about what goes on other places and it's not even about politics.

I have my theories on that, but I also think it's pretty obvious why many are here. I for one am here generally for the entertainment value. The amount of actual model RR'ing is next to zero these days.

I must again agree with Rufus. I came to MTJ because I wasn't getting answers from others and did here. But the entertainment aspect seems to be much more important now. But I guess that is acceptable also. I don't find any entertainment on OGR. Some will say that it shouldn't be entertaining but what are hobbies for?

I support thread drift.
