Got any practical recommendations ? What if those two bears were fighting over access to that house (or that immediate neighborhood) as a resource. What could a resident actually to, besides calling the police?

Given the number of experts ( I'm thinking of one Voice in particular) on this forum on such a wide variety of subjects , I'd be very curious to hear suggestions about what a person could actually do if the next move by both or either of those bears was to shove its way thru the nearest sliding-glass doors or any typical hinged door.

- It might be illegal in New Jersey to have guns or bear spray, but if a bear actually breaks into your home, I dare say you're legally justified to protect yourself using either.

It gets complicated.
And the idea - no offense intended - of moving is so far out of the question as to border on total nonsense, at least for me, especially at this time in my life, and considering where I find myself (I'm still looking) at this point in life's journey.
