We now have a extreme far left governor.
3 out of 4 bonds passed.
A parcel tax gets added to our property tax.
A while ago out legislators rammed through a gas and car registration increase.
The people got enough signatures to get a repeal on the ballot.
This is forever, a lot of money, the Democrats went into full attack, spent tens of millions and also they get to write the ballot title and made it very confusing, so the repeal failed.
If I wasn't so old I'd move, many middle class are fleeing the state.

When I hear reports like this I don't understand who votes for this nonsense.

When I read stuff like this all I see is sour grapes from the far opposite end of the spectrum while all the folks in the middle get screwed over by both ends of the spectrum. Just another example of two minority groups at opposite ends screaming at each other while the majority in the middle gets run over again.

As for CA, just waiting for it to fall into the sea, burn to a crisp, or get washed away in the mud..... It's not too bad a place to visit, but I'm still perplexed by the desire to live there.

Well said. Sadly, the people stuck in the middle are the real minority in CA...................IMHO.

If you take the votes cast for Wolfe in Philly and P-burgh and flip them to Wagner, he wins. That says to me that those two cities controlled the election.

If you looked at the voting map, as they showed last night, the cities and suburbs in the many states voted Dem and the rural areas mostly voted Rep. Not sure it's exactly that simple, but there is some validity in it. It appears many people (women particularly) who voted for Trump, just to avoid Clinton in 2016, voted Dem in 2018 to show their disapproval for who he is.

I lived in California for almost 30 years. Didn't leave because of politics. For us it was becoming to over populated and expensive. But it was a great place for a young person to grow up in during the 50s and early 60s. Still have friends that live there and they are disgusted how Southern Calif has turned out.

Northern Calif is nice if you stay out of San Francisco.

I will say this. I was part of the 20 century Calif gold rush called "real estate"

I spent the summer of 1968 living in Gardena, before it got dicey and I had a ball. Worked and played hard, but will never forget it. I think I caught the tail end of the golden era out there, as I could see the changes coming even then. Saw the area about 15-20 years ago and could hardly recognize it. Beautiful little town had been trashed IMHO.

Heard from a friend in CA this morning and this is what he wrote.

As for the state of this pitiful state, I would move from here in a flash, but simply can’t. The liberals in the Bay Area, LA and Psychomento run the show. All we do here in the valley is feed them (and a lot of other dim-wits!). I vote as right as I can. One of these days, maybe some of the loony left will wake up...

Sounds like what I've heard from other long term residents who didn't get out in time.

I can understand voting for the lesser of two evils, but those people are idiots because they should be voting for the person they think is better for the job, not to spite another politician, even the POTUS......and we wonder why this country is so effed up.

Shades of 2000 all over again. 3 contested elections; Arizona, Georgia, and Florida. In Florida, it's once again Broward County and Palm Beach County, and Broward is the one that gave us the hanging chad, the dimpled chad, and host of other shit in their effort to throw the election back then. They keep finding votes for the Democrats. Reminds me of the election in Minnesota when a bagful of ballots was discovered in an election official's car trunk and pushed Al Franken over the top.
If you agree with the Progressives, it's freedom of speech. If you disagree, it's hate speech. There are no alternatives.

Some years ago in Georgia the governors election was eventually ended when "uncounted" paper ballots were found in a locked ballot box.
After they were counted and the election went to the "right" person it was found that these voters had also voted in alphabetical order.
Oh, almost forgot. Some of these voters were also dead.

The laws concerning elections seem to be similar in Georgia and Florida and some of the counting in both states seems to be done in similar manners.
