It is not my Biblical chronology, I deliberately used your Bible [New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)] so that it is your Biblical chronology.*

Perhaps we need to understand the term, "incest."

No such law existed to prevent Adam and Eve fulfilling the purpose God gave them for their existence. There was no incest involved.
Genesis 1:28 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
28 God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

Wouldn't such a custom, "How about all the children from the brother-sister marriages," as you stated it, indicate the possibility of birth defects and other possible gross abnormalities as becoming rampant and/or "the norm" ?
No. Adam and Eve were created perfect.
Consider what God told them.
Genesis 2:17 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die.”
Question: What does Genesis 2:17 reveal about how long Adam and Eve would live if they did not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil?
Answer: Forever.
God made humans to live forever. It was Adam’s sin that led to death. Think about it: Eat = Die, Don’t eat = Live.
What is the point? Adam and Eve created perfect. Consider how long Adam lived, even with the death sentence he carried for his sin.
Genesis 5:5 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
5 Thus all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred thirty years; and he died.
Adam was created perfectly to live forever. They had no bad Genes at creation. Their children and grandchildren were very close to perfection. In time their descendants would be far from perfect and marriage with close relations would sometimes bring out the worst imperfections carried by both.
Eventually, God saw a reason to stop the brother-sister marriages. He gave this command to Moses to include in the Mosaic Law (the Torah.)
Leviticus 18:6 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
6 None of you shall approach anyone near of kin to uncover nakedness: I am the LORD.
I think Leviticus 18:6 needs to be translated better than what we read in the NRSVCE.
I was looking at Bibles in Barnes & Noble bookstore Wednesday and noticed almost all of them were the New International Version (NIV) This bible translates Leviticus 18:6 as follows.
Leviticus 18:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 “‘No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the LORD.
I would say that leaves no doubt what “uncover nakedness” means.
The new law forbidding brother/sister marriage was given to Moses some time between his birth and death. (Moses was born in 1593 B.C.E. and died in 1773 B.C.E. at age 120 years.)

Maybe, if we accept the chronology and its statements, Adam and Eve had much larger, or differently shaped, skulls than we, their descendants, one might wonder (?)
Is that your interpretation of the Bible, Murph?
* Actually, the various Bibles are neither yours nor mine, they are God's Word written down by God's prophets and Jesus' Apostles. To some, they are a book of fables preserved over the ages by copyists. In any case, the Bible is not our work.
