That's a super invitation, HONDO, and I'd be tickled to meet you in-person. That would be great fun. The client has wanted me to return, but I am just not so sure I still have it in me. We shall see, as time goes forward. Thanks again. Reading that was a real treat.

Correct me if I am wrong Robert.
It has nothing to do with rules not enforced Roy. The Check-in person here in the United States applied USA rules to Slovakian citizens with Slovakian passports. That was wrong and the airline refuses to correct their error.

No! I'm saying my wife and kid. Have dual citizenship. They are citizens of the SLOVAK REPUBLIC and the USA. They both have 2 passports. I'm saying that the airline screwed up and will not admit to it. I spend 3 hours a day on the phone complaining . I have contacted the Austrian embassy and emailed photos of their passports. They told me "all was fine and clear no need for a visa. They should have been allowed to board a plane" I will complain dailt to the airline right to the moment my wife and kid board a plane to Europe. Without me paying another dime. I would have rather placed that $3,200 into my IRA then give to an airline for nothing. $60. a week i saved so the could go on this trip. now it's fugots.

Yes! The airline says "they are not our employees." The airline has pulled video surveillance of my wife standing at check-in. She has 2 red passports in hand. All they cane say is " we cant tell from that footage if her passports are valid". They will not tell me where to send a photo of both passports. They wont cave in their not giving my wife a seat without her paying.

Maybe you should contact a television news channel and tell them you need their help resolving this. They'd have a good old time raisinghell with a big airline.

News media. It's a good idea. I gave it some thought before. I'm kind of between a rock and a hard place with the news media. New York's media may be to far to care about a family from Pa. Philly's media may not care about fighting an airline in NYC. I have contacted all my local representatives. My next move is to call Chuck Schumer's office and the NY AG.
Facebook may not be a good idea. With the way immigration is at a fever pitch in the USA. But. Fight this half way around the world. Play it out on facebook SK. My mother-in-law has contacted media over there. Start an up roar that Austrian air wont bring people home after vacationing in the USA. Will it work ? I don't know we are trying. Tomorrow will be the 19th time i have called to complain. I getting nowhere with the airline.

Did you think of telling the airline that you are prepared to make such a move as contacting NBC, CBS, and/or ABC? They are seen everywhere, so an airline, regardless of where they are centrally located, may not want such notoriety.
Would your Congressperson want to be the hero in all this?

Your first idea, of contacting the news, made some sense. Tipping off the airline first, is dumb.

Robert, I gather you paid $3200 for tickets, and the airline wrongfully denied your wife and kid boarding, then refused to refund your money. One thought is to get the very best attorney you can - someone with extensive experience with such cases, and a reputation as a winner.

After 2 hours a day. Countless emails. I have an opponent stand in the ring.when the ring is empty it’s hard to fight.
Airline” Dear mr Ronky, your family was denied ticketing due to a few reasons. 1 our records show your wife’s EU passport was expired on 02/10/2018. Your daughter’s EU passport is fine. We at Austrian air have a policy about children under 5. They can not fly unaccompanied. Had your wife’s Eu passport been valid we would have let both of them aboard. No further actions maybe taken as we are not liable for re ticketing them. Blah blah blah”
Oh yes they are. I’ll let some of our wise forum members pick out there failure.
