I know I heard that somewhere; perhaps, some movie. But. I know it'll hit me later when I'm out and marauding in the car...

I mucked it up a bit - memory slipping and all --> Questions are a burden to others; answers a prison for oneself.

Think back to the time you may have spent in The Village.
Once I built a railroad, I made it run,
Made it race against time.
Once I built a railroad, now it's done --
Brother, can you spare a dime?

A duck!
That has been used but not the feathered kind. Someone asked about curve drawing/fitting for track on a layout.
These were the kinds of ducks referred to in the answer:

Chuck,
More information one would not expect to find on a model train forum.

No, just a random duck that's off in the distance watching you deal with that bear in your front yard.

I didn't realize it, but I miss this kind of messing around . Let's do some more , huh?
Perhaps we can expand the thread to questions and/or answers we've heard in a variety of settings and were surprised/ chagrined/ disappointed / shocked / amused to witness.

Stuff like: I can't believe ....... just said / asked that.

Question I would not ask: How much is that doggie in the window?
If you have to ask, you can't afford it!
Re: Questions on train forums I wouldn't think of asking.
Forget that doggie in the window. I have enough of 'em. Take our advice, at any price, a gorilla like Magilla is mighty nice!
