When I was living round there some group of gits that moved into a new development over around Newtown sued the farmer across the highway for his farm's "aroma" - lots of pigs; judge tossed it out of court - farmer was there when you moved in; what did you expect living across the street from a pig farm?

This sort of thing (not a pig farm, thank goodness) abounds here in So Cal, the land of the entitled. Torrance airport (WWII P-38 base) was originally in the midst of bean fields. As tract housing grew around it complaints grew apace. Worse was the a-holes in PV. Torrance used to have a decent annual airshow, now cancelled. By the airport is the Robinson Helicopter plant, a major employer and tax-payer. People are always complaining about test flights of the helicopters, that now must fly a restricted flight path. People can be such jerks

I will however tell you being downwind of a corporate pig farm can knock you flat.

I live under the flight path for helicopters to the local hospital.....the house can shake when they come in someday. I'm also nearly under an alternate path for Dulles - bad weather seems to shift air traffic to over our area. Nowhere near as bad as the medical choppers.......they seem to operate w/o any restrictions.

I live near Fort Stewart, GA and have a trembling house because of gunnery practice just four miles south.
We often get helicopter flights. Savannah, 25 miles east has Hunter Army Air Field with many types of
aircraft in the area. Fort Gordon is @ 90 miles north and there is much travel between the two forts.
There is also much vehicular traffic between them that goes through here.
Some people wish that all the military stuff would just go away but I don't think they have put much
thought into it. Stuff might be even more difficult if it all went away.
Hunter Field in Savannah is used by every branch of the military at various times.The Coast Guard
is a full time user as are the weather services. Hunter was built @ 1930 when the only things in the
area were cows, pigs and gators. So now we have shopping malls, hospitals , apartments and houses
that those "monstrous planes" might crash into. Fortunately most in the area understand.

First time my wife and I brought back fresh fruit I was shocked to find apples 30 days after picking were just as crisp and juicy as the day they were picked. Supermarket fruit doesn't last that long. It must be old and abused by the time it reaches the market.

I know we have many mighty hunters that go to the field and face down the deer and
