Lads, I just cracked a beer. Who's in? Actually, I need to mow the lawn, but I figured a beer on Labor Day won't slow the yard work.

Any of you tried my boxcar jumping technique yet?

Big John, You appear to be in a real rip-roarin' frame-of-mind, today, eh? (I love that authentic Pennsylvania brick house behind you! Nothing like it - lasts forever.)
(And to paraphrase a line from Terminator, what you're holding there seems perfectly adequate for home defense.)

Jon, I appreciate the fact that you're not pointing the gun at the camera because there's a person behind that camera. Only point a gun at someone you intend to shoot.

How's your Hudson running? Mine keeps needing a push start. Runs good backwards though. Any ideas? My headlight is also rather dim compared to my other engines. I called 3rd Rail but no return call yet. That was a couple weeks ago.

Why does beer taste better on Labor Day?

Wayne, can you find out when the mullet became popular? I used to cut my own hair by feel over a paper bag for easier clean up. I ignored the back, so I ended up with a mullet. This was in the very early 1980s. I'm wondering if I was one of the first to sport the mullet. Photos are available but can only be viewed at a price.

Can any cigarette package rival the Camel for looks? I think not. Hev, I enjoy your photos a lot. Seems like you live on the edge of a nature (countryside) from the past. I like that.

Tell me beer doesn't taste better on Labor Day!

Labor Day
noun
a public holiday or day of festivities held in honor of working people, in the U.S. and Canada on the first Monday in September, in many other countries on May 1.
