Roger, The conversation is enjoyable (thanks for including me in your comment) because all the participants are interesting to interact with, learn from, and encourage. The fun is directly proportionate to the posters involved. This is a good place because of the remarkable characers conversing. IMHO. Plus, a self-anointed freedom-of-expression and exploration is infused throughout this forum, and that keeps it interesting and vital.

Carl, Here's wishing you a speedy recovery!!! One of my good friends just got "medically" put out of the Army because of a second clot in his leg and has to be on blood thinners the rest of his life.

Carl,

Wow! That must have been frightening. Good luck with your blood thinner therapy.

It is a good idea to carry a medical card or other item that notifies paramedics and doctors that you are on blood thinner.

Jon,

Got my CTT yesterday. The Photo Album section has some great layouts, as usual. But the biggest and best photo is from a guy named Jon in MS. Congratulations! All that work on the new layout paid off.

Damn Carl................you looked good on Saturday when I saw ya at Rough and Tumble. What day did that happen..........Good luck on the recover mode. Been there done that with clots in the lung. Was on thinners for about 6 mos. What they did with me was they put a filter in my left main artey to catch any clots if they form. It's been 9 years and haven't had any problems. I don't have to take any thinners.

Keep us updated on how ya are makin' out. Ya can't miss Steam -O- Rama in Oct...........................

Thanks Guys for all you well wishes,I really appreciate them.
I was fine at the R&T last week,I started noticing discomfort on Wed.,and at work on Thurs. it was getting worse.
Being that I allmost died the last time, I wasn't taking no chances so I drove to the hospital around 2:00 Friday morning.
Hev, I'm still gonna go to the Steam-A Rama even if I'm a corpse.
Thing are getting better,I have to give myself shots in the gut for a week to dissolve the clot, and take blood thinners for life.

Still breathing,
Carl T.

Yea........I had to do the shots too. Did they say anything about puttin' in a filter to catch the clots.....................thats why I'm not on any blood thinners.
