Man, what happened to you? Medicare for all is socialist - kinda like what the Scandinavian countries have. Oh, well, welcome aboard. We need more liberal thinkers. Since this thread concerns Corona Virus, lets see how Scandinavian countries stack up on Corona Virus deaths per 1M population to the ...

"Model Railroad Planning 2020"

Dear All: Just received my copy via snail mail today. Two articles may be of interest. Actually, there is a lot of interest to all modelers, in my opinion, this was one very well prepared MRP. Southern Pacific Guadalupe Subdivision This layout was brought up in the following thread: http://www.model...

Re: 2Railing An Weaver VO-1000 Doable?

Jerry, I guess I didn't answer your other question. I have maybe half a dozen Delrin bushings and the holes for them vary from let's say, .110" to .187". It all depends on the wheel and application. Jay Hi Jay: Thank you very much for your answers. I've filed this information away in the ...

Re: 2Railing An Weaver VO-1000 Doable?

Jon, Would have preferred inches or mm down to the 3 or 4 decimal but 3/6" will work for now. Are the axles shouldered down where the wheel is pressed on? We could always machine new insulators and install them in NWSL 40" wheels that have been bored out (NO, not drilled). Jay Hi Jay: Hmm...

Re: An odd selling attitude here......

Nice to hear from you. I recall some pretty nice modeling efforts from your O gauge days. Some of us are cut out for selling, others not so much. I am in the latter category, but have not had really bad experiences on eBay. I never buy anything for resale, and rarely sell anything. I am getting rea...

Re: An odd selling attitude here......

I gotta go with Sarge on this, selling on e-bay has turned into a gigantic pain in the a$$. I still purchase on e-bay, now usually items of a low dollar value like Mini-metals HO vehicles. I have not sold anything on e-bay for well over four years. My last sale was a like new in box Pacific Fast Mai...
The N&W K that should have been made: The K1
I think they sold these off to D&RGW and became their class M-69., and I think Wheeling and Lake Erie got some too. If so, 3rd Rail did these very early in their production in D...

Re: EMD E8 Roof Question

Since I read this here first, and then went to OGR, I'll post what I found on the E8 here. Go to the following link, and to go page 59 of 93 for the verbiage, and to page 60 of 93 for an illustration showing the air flow. The valve is nothing more than an damper, and is manually operated. http://www...

George: You presently have 77 square feet allocated for your staging area. Using an around the wall perimeter design, you could have a double track main line running through two staging tracks in 52.5 sq feet. Re: Sneak Peak: Preliminary track plan for PRR Panhandle 2.0

Well I'll contribute to thread drift. You O scalers are hanging around with the wrong HO crowd. I cleaned my whole HO layout after sitting for over six years during construction. Funny thing was, it still ran, but there were a few areas acting up. When I was running regular proto...
