Happy birthday Marty and congratulations, Daisy. The AK is an awesome weapon. Fired it in an AF Weapons of the World class years ago (gotta use what you can pick up if you lose your nice airplane, live through it. and the M1911 is out of ammo). I swear they'll fire with water and sand in the barrel....

Hi Wayne, They are called Zertz insets and can be easily bonded with carbon fiber. Do they do any good? Don't know. I would have to ride same frame construction and geometry without them. The white bike is a Roubaix Expert Compact and it is very comfortable on long rides. Some of that, I am sure, co...

Good ride in the dark of winter after walking the dog, but DST is too weeks away and I am looking forward for the lightness of being on...

Tramp,
A wonderful Scotch saga. What would you give for just a taste of one of those?
I know it is pretty serious everywhere else, but tequila and lime weather here. Louie licked the condensation from my Pacificos and is just plain tuckered out tonight. Lazy dog.

That Earl's a fine boy, ain't he? Hand/eye coordination of a fighter pilot, steady as a rock, and a keen sense for business. Madge and Flo are a bit beyond the milf stage, but I reckon it's fun to drink with them.

Re: Hobo Jungle
Ah, Murph. I would love to have that pizza parlor session with the bo's. I have actually met Wayne and his wonderful wife, Mary, talked with the Dirt on the phone, and had further conversation with HRJ's wife while he was on duty during Katrina. At several critical junctures in the evolution of MTJ,...

Re: Hobo Jungle
Murph, I am afraid you will need to expand the envelop of your imagination. The images that you see from time to time are a bogus persona that, by necessity, I have had to create for the internet. I even had to hire a ringer to go up and meet Mary and Wayne in L.A. one Christmas. Circa November 15, ...

I just went along with it and didn't inhale. Suffered through two hours of Sexual Harassment Training this morning. (How to avoid it, liability for me, liability for QC, not how to perpetrate it.) Yeah, Roger, on the price of the thing and Jon's inherent sense of economy. But if you need to move your horizontal axis, front loading washing system through a neighborhood with enterprises like "Pick up Pieces" (looks like an Amsterdam hemp and tobacco shop), you will need the bakfiets. ...

Besides heavy rain and thunderstorms soaking the flatlands, snow blanketing the mountains and 12- to 18-foot waves battering the beaches, today could bring waterspouts, tornadoes, hail and the rarely seen graupel, which forms when supercooled water droplets coat snowflakes. graupel. I have never he...
