Keywords and eBay

I recall there was a post a long time ago about using keywords on eBay but I could not even find my own posts in a search here. It seems like eBay got rid of the 0 scale 2 rail section of ebay and I get all types of nonsense when I try to search for stuff now. I recall there were some good suggestio...

Re: Feuling Satisfaction

Hi there, There is a detailed article at 0 Scale Central coming out about the move. The short version is that the benchwork and track work are completely reassembled except for a few more track repairs and a few bridges that need to be put back in. The wiring and switch machines are next in line to ...

Me too, until I started building stuff out of Plastruct and Evergreen. Good luck.

Re: O Scale National Convention

I was on the committee that worked on the 2004 Convention in DC. We had 20+ very dedicated people and it was a lot of WORK. I can't even imagine the challenges today. It seems like conventions being viewed as unsuccessful has happened more times than I can count. If there was not a Chicago show, I t...

I'm sad to see it go in this direction. Thanks to everyone who kept it going this long.

Re: Plastruct Tubing & Elbows - Is there a trick to this?

I wouldn't think Plastruct would work with CA. I'd think you'd want to use Plastic Weld.

Re: Trouble Signing in to OGR?

In my case I'm 99.9% sure it is nothing personal, but has to do with me changing my profile. They've always been very cordial to me. I've really always liked the OGR forum. It is troubling to read the circumstances of some really great modelers going away. I'm sure they have better things to do than...

Re: Trouble Signing in to OGR?

No, now that I think about it, I updated my profile the other night and that probably triggered something.

Trouble Signing in to OGR?

Is anyone having trouble signing in to the OGR Forum? I get a message that says my account is disabled. I haven't had a run-in with anyone there in quite a long time so I don't think it is anything related to something like that. I think I've been on good terms with the management. If it is just me ...

Re: Mercedes of Steam

Thanks for that info Jimmy and Bob. I've always understand the point regarding new castings being cost prohibitive but I assumed there were two castings made since the Lionel model early versions don't have the sand line covers. I did not realize the early Lionel model versions also have the sheathi...

Re: Mercedes of Steam

I've been trying to look closely at photos and videos of the Lionel Class A engines and it looks like they used the wrong crosshead guides on the 1211 so I think that one would be eliminated from the mix for me. I was waiting to order until next week and I'm so glad I caught that before I ordered on...

It looks about as neat as possible from the soldering and everything else including the railings.

Rich, yes, Ajin did the Overland model. Thanks for the correction.

Re: Mercedes of Steam

E7, That is sort of funny and sad. There really isn't one that I'd raise to such a high standard that I'd put the others aside. It is based on what is most important to you and some excel in some areas and fail in others. The streamlined casing of the J is very complex to the point where all 14 J's ...
