Re: Electric cars
Other than a person that drives infrequently what is the real upside to owning an EV? As I said earlier, if you can charge at home the EV at home then it's incredibly convenient to fuel and cheap to operate. Driving is a different than a gas car. Since there's no gas engine, there is no engine nois...

Re: Electric cars
I looked in to getting one 2 years ago but when the dealer told me I should not charge the batteries in the garage overnight because it could possible start a fire I gave up. Most all of the people I see with EV’s have them charging in the garage. The ones that don’t are charging outside but still ...

I'm working on a project to make removable lighted loads for these cars for use during operating sessions.
Evans designs may have something that will work for you. I’ve used their flickering LED’s in barrels to simulate fire. They look pretty good to me.

Looks pretty good to me for an in service slag car! When I duck duck go ‘slag car’ most are out of service and have that rusty orange color. What’s your technique?

Re: Weekend Photos - May 2025
It can be heartbreaking to see them go, but the fact of the matter is that there are few with any interest in this stuff coming up behind us. No truer words have ever been spoken. My buddy was a contractor for this couple in Cambridge for years. They were both white collar folks with no children. H...

I refuse to get swallowed in those phone ideologies Refusing it because it may swallow you up would be wise. Refusing it to refuse it would be….well? It’s kind of like complaining about using Shutterfly to host your photos because you refuse to learn how to do it on a smart phone. I have a friend, ...

Re: Why isn't O Scale 2-Rail more popular with model railroaders?
Yep that’s me. But it’s a little like you telling me I need to continue reading my ADC’s maps when I can type an address in my phone and have it tell me how to get there. The only reason I tried to understand anything electrically related to my pike was because of my love of the trains themselves. S...

Re: Weekend Photos - May 2025
Wish I could claim it as my own work. I picked this up at the Narrow gauge show in Harrisburg 2 years ago. This church was there with many of his other Stoney Creek buildings and they were less than you could buy the kits for. I’m assuming his wife just wanted to unload this stuff for obvious reason...

Re: Do we need to make this more attractive?
Nice modeling there. The track and ballast are on point. Ive never quite been able to get the right look on my ballast, probably because I’m using a straight color and not a mix. I recently mixed a section on my pike that looks much better. The third rail probably doesn’t help either.

Butch, go with Sarges method. Much easier. Thanks Sarge, I had no idea it could be done that way. Very easy.

Re: Do we need to make this more attractive?
Well, this would be great to post directly from my I-Phone. I just need to learn how. Instead of sending the photos from my phone to my computer, I can just send them to MTJ...........is that correct? Not sure how Sarge is doing it but I’d start here https://imgbb.com/ Touch start uploading and the...

Here I’ve screen captured Wayne’s Williams Shark for future reference if I wish. https://i.ibb.co/RkfBkzMT/IMG-0275.png I know longer have to worry about losing it here on the forum because of antiquated software. I can simply crop it and create an album to store it in for future reference. Furtherm...
