Not to shabby for 2.3M. Couldn’t touch that for 3.3M in Maryland. Host a couple weddings a month and you could probably cover the mortgage.

Re: Figure painting
After you get the basic block-painting done, give the figure an overspray of clear gloss. This is important when you go to the next step. You need the wash to flow to cracks and crevices, not soak into/stain flat paint Hi Paul, I’ve been working on some figure painting and I hope to post some resul...

Re: The Modelers Thread
Sadly that boxcar above this hasn’t changed much . I’ve been trying to avoid the forums lately, you know me and forums  I’m still modeling and tried to go a little more detailed on Jeffersons dry goods, my first resin kit. I used a few of the built in filters on iPhone to capture what this...

Re: Soundtraxx Blunami Decoder (new to me)
Blunami seems to be the latest rage as of late. Lots of guys on you tube doing demos and installs. Norm Charboneau has done some pretty insightful videos on Blunami. I’m not sure what the advantages are over DCC or Legacy, I do know they haven’t worked out the synchronized smoke but that’s probably ...

Re: John E Robinson collection
Yes. I searched the sold items and screen captured nearly everything in On3 or O scale 2 rail he had listed. Took a while but I like having it for references or future builds.

Re: John E Robinson collection
I contacted the seller out of curiosity. Here’s his reply: He was an aircraft electrician. He had true love for narrow gauge locomotive and equipment. He had some real locomotives as well. Was very much a prototype modeler. Here’s a few more I lifted from eBay before they sold. https://i.ibb.co/b5Xg...

John E Robinson collection
If anyone knows who this guy is I’d figure it would be some one here. I came across his collection on eBay. Seller is Train-West.LLC beautiful models, mostly On3 but here is a pic of an O scale 2 rail freight car. All looks to be scratch built! Here’s a link to the seller, enjoy! https://ebay.us/m/T...

Re: Paint Shop
I’ve always been curious about how you prep that brass body for paint. Is that some type of automotive primer that goes on before the finish paint? Also, do you pre treat that brass before you prime it? Really beautiful, I love the daylight livery.

Looks great Paul! Is this going to have the snowy, sparkling look of the other Christmas structures you’ve built in the past? I can’t say how much I love those structures. I think I’ve watched you do those for a few years now and I must say it really does get me into the Christmas spirit. That being...

Don’t you think giving them a drivers license and letting them vote was enough?
