These early brass imports followed me home. https://i.ibb.co/Z6TCQfyj/655837000-2983768948496035-914247374800015417-n.jpg https://i.ibb.co/tpBTt07N/656198905-2983767211829542-1521873954575084856-n.jpg https://i.ibb.co/cSWnnqwF/656867777-2983767195162877-4523400717690671149-n.jpg As well as this Scal...

Re: Alco PA and FA 2023
That's for all the support Bob. It's finally warm enough up here I can get out in the garage for a bit and fool around. BTW, I managed to snag a Pomona E unit with the Siebers sides so will need to build that one as well. It came with the chassis and gearbox but not the geardrives for the trucks. ht...

Re: Alco PA and FA 2023
I must admit, I have yet to get around to soldering my PA together, but I can report I managed to find a PB to go with it. It seems to have been soldered together already, hard to say how well I guess. It also seems to have 6 CLW plastic gearboxes in it and can for juice. We will see when it shows u...

Re: Painting Classic Passenger Cars
I'm gradually building a pile of smooth side Exacta cars I would like to paint in maybe GM&O or something similar and the other which Bob's PRR car inspires are a group of Alexander stream line Aluminum PRR Fleet of Modernism cars. Would like to do those at some point but I seem to be incredibly...

Re: Carey's recent acquisitions
I'll tell ya, it is a great basement to visit for sure! He will probably do the open house for the Chicago O scale show again this year. We had a pretty nice turn out last year and it was pretty fun running both layouts. Poor Carey was running around demonstrating all the other trains he has at the ...

Yes, Bob and I talked a bit back and forth on the messages. I haven't got around to trying to solder it together yet unfortunately.

Re: C&NW Steam Power
There was a guy on FB just the other day that was trying to ID an "ho" loco he got off ebay. One look and I knew he had landed an improperly described 00 scale Scale Craft C&NW 4-8-4. He didn't get the tender though poor guy! Unfortunately, he wasn't interested in sending it my way lol

Re: Alco PA and FA 2023
I think I showed this cast PA kit in another thread, but it fits here and I need to figure out and make a jig to get it together for soldering. I need to check the nose and see what it looks like. It is already fitted pretty well and screwed together, but it's still just a little loosey goosey so I ...

Re: B&O Steam?
Were there different pre/postwar versions from Lobaugh? I remember seeing one Carey posted a while back that I think was postwar. Maybe he showed it on FB, can't remember now lol.

Re: Recent Stout Auctions
Hi folks, Apologies...I ended up with the Lobaugh J3a kit. Being a C&O nut, I couldn't pass up this historical kit. I agree that I probably overpaid for it. Now if only I could find a very well assembled one. I've really gotten fond of Lobaugh since picking up a 4-4-0 on a whim a couple years a...

Re: Recent Stout Auctions
It seems there are several lads that buy to resell and a few that come local so they don't need to ship. I think the lot of tankcars I got had 10-12 in it and was around 130 maybe, I don't remember. but a couple of Lobaugh, and I think 4 Max gray/KTM and a couple of other kit tankers. No plastic. Th...

Re: Recent Stout Auctions
I understand, being local and talking to Greg and others who attend, there are a several high rollers that frequent those auctions. My best success was a 2023 scale auction where I brought home maybe six engines? Saginaw E6, well two if you count a box of parts for $60. Also got anotger saginaw H10 ...

Re: Lobaugh Berk 2023
So far I found a plain bearing front truck need to keep digging for a rear truck. I'm trying to sort through things and at least put parts with the loco they should go with in the event I ever get to working on any of them....
