Re: PRR 2026
I was looking at the trainz M1 also, maybe if it comes down some more. but I already have an old KTM MG M1 so it would have to be a good deal to pickup another. I'm more interested in real doorstops lol Your T1 looks great Bob. I think I have a Weaver version lurking around somewhere. Need to find s...

Re: Tank Cars
Is that Lenoir car wrapped in foil of some type of wrapper? I think it was a paper wrapper that he added the rivets and then lettered. it feels heavy enough to be a wood dowel tank like the Walthers cars were. I am not sure why it's all wrinkled up though, maybe moisture at some point? I have poste...

Re: Carey's recent acquisitions
I can help with one of Carey's locos since it accidentally came home with me during an open house he had last year. I we mixed up boxes and neither of us checked closely. so I got to look at it for a couple of weeks. Interesting 4-6-6-2 cab forward scratch built but we discovered the main frames wer...

Re: Tank Cars
Here are a couple of Lobaugh tank cars. Think I have posted these before as well, The Shell has the early cast bronze frame. https://i.ibb.co/xSN9sNTd/460982268-2482851675254434-2705357423114956518-n.jpg And here is one I was lucky to find when someone was auctioning off some Bill Lenoir stuff. http...

Re: PRR 2026
Here are a couple more K4 projects I got recently, top is a cast Alexander boiler on a nice chassis I am not familiar with, different from the jewel quality Alex chassis... The bottom is an SC chassis with either a scratch boiler or something taken from another loco and modified, but is seems like a...

Re: PRR 2026
Bob asked me to repost this over here, The I1 is a rough scratch built loco, all tin with an All Nation motor in it. I've since swapped tender trucks. The Belpaire is a little more square than I would like but it is what it is. The M1 is the Blumm, 17/64's loco with a Mi Loco K5 tender behind it. On...

Re: Recent early Brass Cab diesel acquisitions
Thanks Bob, I'll put some PRR steam over there. The I1 is scratch, one M1 is the big 17/64ths Blumm and the other is MG. I have a couple of more Alexander GG's I can put over there too.

Recent early Brass Cab diesel acquisitions
I know these early brass units are not high on the list of favorites, but they still have some charm to them. First is the Alco PA set, notice how short these are compared to the CLW PA on the top shelf. Interestingly, the A unit has a giant open frame motor with double shafts leading to some IMP li...

Re: Carey's recent acquisitions
Thanks Bob. My problem is just getting some work done on things as opposed to just picking up more! I agree with the colors being off on the Exacta E's. I also have a partial set of Exacta SP ribbed cars, would like to redo them all with a good paint job, but still pondering the best way to actually...

Re: Adams EMC E unit castings
I should have posted this one, I just got this one from Carey as he upgraded to a better SP E unit. We think this one is Exacta, bronze A unit shell and sides soldered together. I have another drive unit that I think is similar to this one so I may be able to add a second motor to the A unit. The B ...
